You're a leverless player because you want faster reaction times and more consistent inputs. I'm a leverless player because I can't afford a good fightstick and have to play on keyboard. We are not the same. (In all seriousness its cool to see you trying leverless! I learned fighting games on keyboard cause of money reasons as I said, but it turned out to just be a really good controller on its own that works well for me. Even if you don't stick with leverless I'm glad you're trying it out! God bless!)

Idk if you’ll see this but I think it would be cool if you made a character tier list in sf6 based off of how difficult they are to play. I’ve seen a video on this topic but I think it would be more interesting and well informed from you considering you got all characters to master. Just a suggestion and I love the videos so my idea doesn’t have to happen cause the content is fine as is already

It's always interesting watching people learn leverless and go through the same process I have over the last few years since switching. I hope your hands allow you to keep at least experimenting a bit with it. I've found that changing controllers sometimes helps me learn more about a game so I wonder if it will be the same with a person who plays at Sajam's level as opposed to a scrub like me.

nice to see you rocking the kitsune. that was the same reason why I skipped the OG hitbox plus the god awful ergonomics, zero wrist space and sharp edges. no idea how its sold as a premium product. surprisingly the kitsune manages to be easier on my joints than even my tailor made hori fighting edge arcade stick in which I've played 10+ hour sessions with very few pauses, which I thought no leverless could ever achieve. optical switches are the way to go forward. so snappy and with such little activation force/mechanical energy required. very happy with my purchase. congrats on yours aswell. good product.

for crouching buttons into quarter circles, the crouching button is already the first part of the input, so it just requires pressing a direction and releasing down. theres a lot of input things like this that are hard to visualize and execute when starting on leverless but become extremely easy with time

One thing that makes me like keyboard better than leverless is the fact that the up button is big and shared between hands. I'd much rather have a button for my right thumb and one for my left. This gives me one more button I'm always hovering above.

I feel like when you’re trying a new thing or coming back to something you’re rusty at or haven’t touched in ages you assume that we all think you’re bad or dog at the game sajam and because of that you feel the need to explain to us why you’re in a specific situation or made a bad decision multiple times. It’s like you assume that we think you need to be good at everything all the time. Honestly 17:35 was not at all a bad throw, that was a scenario where anyone would have to guess in. Just letting you know, we understand and we by no means think you’re a bad player for it.

I gotta make a day to watch this but a quick question. How is that leverless working out for you? Is it comfortable? I tried using the original hitbox and it kills my hands and wrists, especially because I like to relax my hands on the box a lot. I see that it's a little wider and longer and am wondering if that's helping you at all? If so I just might buy one of those.

Leverless is great. Stick veterans tend to talk about its competitive advantages but say that it's way less fun, but I still think they're a lot of fun honestly. Schmooving feels good and once you get consistent with motions they feel really good as well. I just bought a cheap used qanba stick because I wanna learn stick for Tekken 8 - pressing up to move into the background just makes way more sense than hitting the jump button at the bottom of your controller, even if leverless is technically a more "cheap" controller for Tekken - and if I like it I want to look into the Cross-up setup that decouples up from the stick and puts it on a button. Having up as a button that I can access with my right hand is probably my favorite thing about playing leverless.

Im slowly learning it for fun. My GF gifted me a kitsune so I thought, well, I cant sell it so I might as well at least try to use it. Im a loooong time pad and stick player so the first time I hopped on that sucker it was a shock, nothing made sense in my brain, I went from a being proficient execution wise to being lucky if i managed to confirm a fb after a fp. So, every day after I come back from work I plug in the kitsune, lab for 30 mins repeating sh1t over and over and I go back to my trusty stick for the rest of my gaming sesion. I really didnt notice it, but in 2 weeks my execution got much better. Its still behind my execution with stick and I wouldnt dare playing high MR matches with it, but I feel like im at a point where I might hop on some of my diamond or Plat characters and actually do ok. I think this is harder for oldet guys like me that are in their 30,s that have their brains hardwired after decades on playing on the same types of devices, but practice solves everything I guess.

How'd you hurt your hand? I've seen people suggest you angle your fingers straight down, but my shit started hurting pretty quickly since that can twist your wrist bones depending on controller position. I messed around with angles & ended up having my palms facing about 45 degrees down toward my center. My fingers are fanned out kinda like making an ok sign, & my right ringers neutral point is between both rows of buttons. I haven't had any pain yet.

I'll have to give those other shortcuts a shot. To clarify how I found [6]412 in the first place: it's the same as a normal DP input (623), but you SOCD the 6 instead of releasing it. It looks weird in notation, but it feels very similar to a 623 input without having to worry about flubbing the neutral input. It works in every game regardless of how strict the input reader is.
