Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

I’m from Scotland and will be picking a westerly country (like France or Portugal?) and then migrate east. I’ll eventually figure out the cheapest flights from Eastern Europe and hopefully backpack for quite a while longer around Asia! Where might you (or your friend) be planning to go? 😂

Since you are already looking in that neck of the woods, can i recommend jordan as a country to put on your radar. I dont know what the current restrictions are there but it is such a underated country. Stunning, intresting, friendly and has incredable adventures, ans the scuba diving in Aqaba is meant to be amazing. I look forward to watching your travels where ever you end up

We're thinking of where to go next, so it's handy to hear your trip planning thoughts. Egypt wasn't on our radar, but kite surfing there sounds cool. We thought for a moment there that that might be a good option for us as we can only stay in the Schengen zone for 90 days out of 180 days, but it looks like it's probably still not viable at the moment if it's going to be a hassle to get anywhere after that. Hey! A few years ago, I learned kite-surfing in Portugal! Portugal is great for surfing and kite-surfing. In Nazare there are waves for surfers and at the Algarve there are many great spots for kite-surfing. Also for beginners -> calm but windy lagoons (in Lagos for example). But I don´t know how enjoyable the temperatures are right now... Additionally Portugal as a whole is a great country! Lisbon for example is one of my favourite cities in Europe! I rent a car and traveled around the whole country - So many great places to visit! If you plan a trip to Portugal and need some recommendations, let me know! ;)

Have you ever been backpacking through Europe? Just to visit more countries? Once I've visited 4 countries in 1 week. UK, Italy, Croatia and Austria. It was busy but so cool. another youtuber a Dutch youtuber went interrailing to Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Berlin It was really nice to watch

I visited Egypt a few week ago, It was amazing, but not an easy country to travel ! Ive been in several other countries since and didn't have an issue coming from Egypt :) I would say I really had a lot of issues bringing a camera + microphone anywhere.. you either had to pay to take your camera in or the security would be a bit funny about it and not let you use it. Cant wait to see where you go :)

Unless going to the Canary Islands I think Spain is going to be way too cold to do kite surfing in November! I did a Course in Tarifa in July and even then the water was freezing! x

The dominican republic has a ton of kite surfing if that's what you're looking to do! Also, have you ever stayed in the Selina brand hostels? I used them in a ton of locations when traveling around Central America earlier this year and kind of fell in love.

Just be aware of Brexit rules! You can only spend 90 days within a 180 day period in EU/Schengen area countries. So if you have already spent time in Spain, this counts as part of your 90 day limit!

There’s not much to say on my experience really! I was staying in a hotel at the time and didn’t leave my room for a week, ordering in food from food delivery services (though not much as I’d lost my sense of taste and smell so food wasn’t particularly enjoyable!) I felt exhausted so just slept a lot and watched Netflix 😅

Travelling will be a lot more difficult being unvaccinated - I recommend you do that first! And depends when you’re leaving, I think the banana pancake trail is difficult atm as many of those countries are still not letting in tourists. But perhaps by next summer!

I'm a person who is not vaccinated and is not planning to get vaccinated, with canada putting a restriction on being able to go to the airport after nov 30, I'm planning to move to a different country temporarily, any recommendation?

Aah, my first backpacking trip was to Turkey. 🥰🥰But the whole visa process was too much for me, because I applied 2.5 months ahead of time and it was too little time. I almost didn't get it, but the people at the embassy here were amazing. I could skip the interview, pretty sure they felt sorry for me🙈
