Thank you Linda for the peaceful, restful decorating encouragement. Great ideas. For the 'gilded kitchen' grouping, tiny fairy lights, small garlands, tiny decorations.

Also like another commenter , I am crushing on that gorgeous brass candle holder with the square base. I know you had these on the upstairs wicker table in the fairy tale house. I have loved them since the first time I noticed them. Like you, I love tiny, small fruit to decorate during the holidays. Nuts in the shells, little cutie tangerines and small crab apples are my favorite. My DIL just got a whole bag of tiny pears for my 3 year old grandson. I need some of those too. At 73... I draw the line at reading on my phone. Like nothing is a good as a real, burning candle.... nothing , to me, is as good as the look and feel of a real book. The pages, the covers, the tactile feel. Its an expierience to me. Learning how to simplify Christmas will put you in a much more zen state of mind.

It’s so interesting when I saw the title this morning of your video. We are hosting a wreath making gathering today with natural forage. So yesterday was a flurry of activity putting away fall and Thanksgiving and getting ready for friends today. As we were transplanting our fall mums from containers to a garden bed I had the same thought about the Christmas season this year. I want to savor each moment, decorate more simply, spend less and focus on the hope that comes with the “reason for the season.” Thank you always for your inspiration.

So we’ve always been told that the wood utensils are bad because they harbor disease because they never really come clean. You also have to keep them oiled or they craft causing areas that again can harbor disease. So what are we supposed to do?

I really enjoy Signature Saturday. So interesting to see what you are doing and I have gotten a lot of fun ideas and book suggestions. I do have a designated Christmas work place. I have a craft room above our detached garage….though we converted the garage part into a mother in law suite several years ago. It’s a nice quiet place to wrap and a good place to put presents. Much better than in my bedroom and under my bed which was all I had available when all our children were young…..what chaos that was!🙂
