You may lose the desired weight, but in the long run, you are damaging your health. Lentils are high carb and if you eat many, you are just begging to develop diabetes. Please please rethink your dieting strategy !❤️

That is not true. Research on current diabetic causes and treatments has shown that. Please, do some updated research on this.

To date, keto and carnivore are the two most healthy ways to combat diabetes. And as a little side of excitement, a person’s weight will slide to normal ranges.❤️

@@dianekey4780 Diane. I have just finished watching the video by John McDougall that you referred me to. Goodness, I am waaaaay past confused at this point, Diane ! Let me go back…….15 years ago I was diagnosed with Diabetes plus non-alcoholic liver disease. I was in the hospital for 14 days while doctors were trying to save my life. Upon exiting the hospital my Endocrinologist told me to eat starches. Yet, my Hematologist told me to eat high protein. The Hepatologist also told me that there was nothing they could do FOR me. So, I began eating lots of meat AND eating lots of potatoes. And……had to take 40 units of insulin every night PLUS my weight shot up. I lived like this until several years ago. Then, I chose to try the keto method. Meat plus low carb veggies. OUT went the potatoes and all other high starchy foods, of which there are many. My 185 lbs. dropped down to a rock solid 120. My fibroscan on my liver showed I had back off from full fledged cirrhosis to fatty liver ( and currently is still improving ). My A1C has come down from 8.5 to a solid 6. ( The only reason it is NOT lower is because……I cheat ! ) But, both doctors are looking at me crosseyed and asking “ What on EARTH are you DOING ? “ I simply smile, and won’t tell them because I don’t like getting yelled at. For my diabetes, I still take my two meds…….but NOW my prescription for insulin no longer reads “ 40 units at bedtime “. It NOW reads “ 10 units at bedtime IF NEEDED”. So, Diane, your Dr. McDougal wants me to : lessen the meat and to eat lots of starchy foods “. Can you understand my confusion ? PLEASE kindly respond, Diane. I value your thoughts.❤️
