I'm 62 years old and can honestly say that until now...I have never heard spider footsteps like that. Magical. I follow your book channel and so this came up in my recommended and I am so pleased it did! It was so much fun to see a young lady getting her first "real place" - really made me smile. The apartment is lovely with a *ton* of potential. The layouts there seems quite different than typical spaces in the US and I love it. It has a great feel to it... a modern feel but it's also a space that will beautifully welcome vintage pieces and style. I am so looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Spending time in an empty flat with your friends is a whole vibe - eating takeout straight out of boxes and wondering about everything that's going to happen within those walls. I moved to live alone a year ago after living with a partner for a few years, and I still recall the conversation me and a friend had over carrot cake in the empty living room: "It feels like home here." "It feels like your home." Not a day goes by without me thinking about how this place right here is for me and how incredible that is. I hope your new home will take you into its arms with as much warmth. ❤ (Btw, periwinkle is an excellent colour for kitchen cabinets, and bed chamber is the only suitable term for the room a lady like you will sleep in.)

Wouldn't it be better to surround the seating area with bookshelves on the two walls? To protect the books from food and everything that goes in the kitchen (heat, smell). You'll mostly read in the seating area too, that'd be cosy - The apartment is gorgeous. Very happy for you! - ps: it's lavender!

As an Interior Designer, I agree that the books would be more appropriately place in the Living room versus the eating area. The cabinets look lavender on the video. Love the blue fridge!! Lovely bathroom, the alcove could be for a towel cabinet 😊 You will find a new favourite coffee shop and bookstore. The apartment is lovely! The city looks very charming ❤❤❤

As a Canadian, my mind is blown by the shower in the kitchen and no dedicated bathroom.. I cannot wrap my head around that, how do you get privacy from your roommates? This is why I love house tour videos, it’s so wonderful to learn how other countries live! Your new apartment is a dream, I’m so happy for you! You must be so excited for the bigger space

it's definitely not common in the Netherlands! having a seperate toilet room and shower/sink room is pretty common and so is having the shower bathroom connecting to the kitchen, but I've never seen one like this before! maybe bc the building is so old haha

This setup isn't regular in the NL indeed, but we very rarely have ensuites like in CAN or the USA. A standard house will have a large bathroom with toilet, shower, sink and possible bath, and one small bathroom with just a toilet and a sink. Everyone living in the house will share the large bathroom.

I love that floor plan! Open but structured apartments are my favourite. You can have clear defined areas for different purposes but there is still a flow from one area to another. Also all that natural light? Amazing! How many m² is it? Also seeing two friends being excited, happy and a little goofy together just makes my day. I can't help but share your enthusiasm. I hope you find the perfect furniture to turn this into your dream home.

i lived in delft for a month last year when i was interning at the peace palace, it was SUCH a lovely city and place to be, even though I was always alone I had such a lovely time and it felt so safe and cosy and pretty :)) hope you love living there as much as i did!!!

Cute! I love seeing fellow book nerds decorating their home spaces. I would recommend putting the bookshelves on the opposite wall, further from the kitchen. It's wild how much steam and sticky vapours from cooking can travel through the air and settle on books. I would call the colour of the kitchen cabinets mauve, which is more on the blue-ish side of purple, with lilac on the more pink-ish side of purple, and lavender right between them.

Ik was echt overtuigd dat je naar HOF36 zou verhuizen- die woningen zijn net opgeleverd dus de timing was perfect. Imagine my surprise toen je zei dat je naar delft gaat verhuizen! Maar is ook een leuke stad dus dat komt vast goed (: ik kan je aanraden om eens op de campus van de TU koffie te gaan halen, op de campus zit leuke horeca! En is ook nog lekker groen

Expressing yourself in home decorating is an unmatched thrill. I wouldn’t a recommend putting the books shelves near the kitchen though. The heat, mist … coming from cooking might damage them (slowly but surely)
