You aren't missing anything. NL didn't see the move. He thought he blundered and resigned out of embarrassment. He only realized he was winning afterwards when chat told him.

That first game is pretty funny NL: I feel like I can trap your queen (no you can't) Opponent 20 seconds later: greedily grabs the a pawn and allows NL to trap their queen with rb3 NL: welp, gotta defend that knight by adding another piece to the incoming pin I guess

1:04 Pretty sure rook B3 traps the enemy queen. Rook covers the B file, queen covers rank 1, and then the A file is covered variously by the rook, pawn, knight, rook, queen, and bishop. He was just talking about possibly being able to trap the queen.

7:02 h5 and h6 are both fine. In the caro-kann you move your white bishop to the outside of your pawn chain which will be closed with e6. Your opponents h4 can catch your bishop because of this. So you have to either hide your bishop on h7 or stop the opponent to play h5.

First match, missed an easy queen at the start. They over extended queen black when the took pawn on A3. If white had then progressed their rook to b3, they would have been forced to take and lose their queen the trade as their were no safe places to back into

It's a stalemate. It happens when the opponent has no available moves and the king is not in check.

The move is actually Rb3, trapping the black queen. I actually saw that while watching and paused to setup the position, Stockfish agrees white is up about +7 after Rb3 EDIT: was hoping NL would do the analysis and see that move but he didn't. Unfortunate since he even mentioned the possibility of trapping the queen a couple moves earlier, but didn't look for it at the right time

Not chess master, but the bishop is covered by the draw popup. The bishop blacks the white escape square
