I’ve had two unsuccessful pregnancies this year, each resulting in emergency surgery, and as a result can no longer get pregnant without medical intervention. My parents had the same mentality about bringing me and my brother into their lives and still living how they wanted to live and showing up authentically and they rocked it! They didn't bend their lives to suit us which I have the most mad respect for to this day. The best advice I got as a mum, from a friend of mine who at the time had 3 kids (now 5) was the following: enjoy each phase. Cause they all go away. They all end. Each bad/uncomfortable phase is follwed by a good one. And back again. And those deserve to be enjoyed. This worked for me as a mum of 2 under 2. But this works just as well in pregnancy:) And don’t let anyone tell you how it‘s gonna be once baby is earthside, or that you‘re naive. Enjoy it all. Much love🙏🏼

Jamie I’ve followed you on IG for a while now and this video was just lush to watch. Me and my husband were TTC for 4 years before starting IVF in the spring and have recently had our positive test 🥰 you spoke so wonderfully about fertility and how trying for a baby isn’t textbook and can look so many ways and if I were still TTC I would have watch this with happiness and love and not any resentment or upset. Massive congratulations to you and Jack ✨🤍

Our journey was hard, my husband had a brain tumour that affected his fertility, wed not prevented pregnancy for 6 years before we started trying. His consultant gave us tips, ovulation testing etc, which was a shock because i found i ovulated at day 10 instead of typical 14. Then i spent 4 months testing temperature before getting out of bed, ovulation testing, consultant had referred to fertility specialist etc. we found out he had a low count, and many didn’t swim in the right direction (they go round in circles or don’t move). Then suddenly, i did a test after so many negatives that were getting upsetting and saw 1-2 weeks on the clear blue test. I actually had to tell people at 5 weeks because i had already started showing, being a wheelchair user, my stomach muscles aren’t great. I had to have a planned c section for my health and it was amazing, dont be scared of them, honestly, everyone in that room was fantastic and it will stay with me forever. My son is now 10 (i did want a girl and was convinced it was) but he’s amazing, unfortunately as he was my miracle baby and i hit early menopause within a few years of his birth, I’m still an emotional wreck. I still just cry at the slightest thing and that was what made me suspect you were pregnant in the last vlog where you watched the boy dressed up for a photo as you got out of the car. Would never have said anything before your announcement, but i was secretly hoping something was coming. A huge congratulations to you both, am so glad you talked about the journey because it really can be a hard journey for some and the disappointment shown in the videos is so familiar to so many. My craving was ice, luckily a good one to have xx

Awww congratulations Jamie! It took me over a year to get pregnant with my second. I was told I had polycystic ovaries and had pretty much started to get used to the idea of not being able to have another. We stopped tracking periods and stuff and just got on with life and then all of a sudden I found out I was pregnant. Great things can happen. He's now 4 years old 🤗 so happy for you lovely xxxx

Heyy Jamie and Jack been following you's from the start and omg I feel like a proud family member or something even though you's don't even know me lol I just want to say congratulations to you's both! I'm 26 from Scotland 😁 and I have a wee baby girl who's now 11 months old! After having your wee baba it will be hard for a while with being over tired but after a while they become like your wee bestie and it's the best feeling in the world ❤️... Your gonna love it Jamie out for a wee pamper day with daa baby and the love you feel is so unreal its just amazing! And Jamie honestly as your pregnancy goes on you'll be feeling like a queen everyone's always supper nice! I actually really miss the feeling of being pregnant. Some advice I would give is to just enjoy your pregnancy and don't listen to peoples birthing stories (the scary ones) everyone's experience is diffrent and I recommend definetly practicing breathing for during labour that's one thing I wish I had done as I thought I was going to be okay because I mediated at night but I was wrong lol and also from experience and I had a traumatic birth ( it's never as bad as you think it's going to be and it's doesn't ruin your privates) also make alot of fresh meals and freeze them for when you get out the hospital.. Just makes things easier for you's and to also invest in a dishwasher (if you don't have one already lol I know it's random but trust me! And also when buying baby bottles 6 is a great number to have! Ano this is a bit random 😂 congratulations again I feel so happy for you's both just remember that they don't stay small for long so however hard the long nights may be just know that one day you'll be wishing for they night's back, I wish I could shrink my wee girl back down even just for a day and she's not even 1 yet lol ♥️

Could not be happier for you!! Thank you for talking about how the TTC journey is different for everyone. We were naive about how long it could take and fell pregnant very quickly but my friend tried for a year before having to go doctors for tests. My mum also had two rounds of IVF for my little brother. It really is different for everyone. And in terms of career balance, you’ll find your own routine. I had no ‘career’ before my little boy and since having him I’ve got a job on counter as a makeup artist, got into pro team and have done two shoots! You’ll find that balance I promise!! Birth wise, relax. I won’t share my birth story incase it triggers anyone but baby doesn’t get a copy of the birth plan so just relax and follow them in whatever keeps them safe to get out. Me and my best friend both had csections though and the recovery really isn’t that bad! (Just thought I’d add that incase anyone is nervous if they’ve been told they’re having one!) But a huge congrats to you and Jack you’re going to be amazing parents. I’ve followed you since before you started KZbin and seeing you grow, get engaged, married, get Juno, buy your house, start Vieve & now growing a family has been amazing to watch!! Motherhood is hard but so rewarding! Also I think you’re having a boy lol I’m just getting boy mum vibes!!

Jamie this is the best news ever!! Normally when my favourite KZbinrs announce they are pregnant I normally start fading away from them as it’s baby this, baby that but yours I’m so excited. Please do things your own way. You’ll find a lot of women who have kids now do everything by the book!! And it drives me crazy!! Women have been having babies for century’s and never needed no book or stupid classes. I have two kids that are in theyre thirties now and in my day you just went with how you feel comfortable bringing your child up, so plZ do your own thing and with what you feel comfortable doing. I was 16 when I had my first and I went into the ward with the words from my mum in my head, “ the pain will stop when the baby is born and you’ll forget about the pain as soon as you hold them” It was very true, I had no pain relief at all, no screaming as the nurse said it was a waste of my energy when pushing. 1 hour 30mins 😍

I love kids and I was a certified nanny for awhile, but the only way I would have kids myself is for my bestie because she has issues in that area & she is with my brother. Totally would pull a Phoebe moment just for her & him. Lol. I think you & Jack are going to be wonderful parents because your so attentive, patient & were all so freaking excited for you!

I've been through the negatives with my husband too...and then one day I took one without him after a year of trying because I didn't think I was pregnant and BOOM...2 lines! Think I checked 5 times 😅 Im so so happy for you Jamie and Jack ❤️❤️❤️
