@sasielb8922 yes. That is an example of selection bias. People that already like to draw and are good at it are more likely to draw. But there are many people with nice ideas that want to draw but that were unable to do so do to them not having g the skills. And like everything your enjoyment of something correlates with the fun you feel doing so. But yeah while you optimise your inputs and look at the outputs you also figure a lot out. And no getting the idea is the part that requires creativity. Drawing your idea is the part that requires mechanical skill. And similar how we have wheelchairs to help people that can not moge their legs we now have ai art to help people without the technical skills to vocalise their ideas and create art with it.

I’m an artist and there is someone with no arms that draws way better than me and a lot of skilled and learned artists. I can tell by your explanation that you don’t draw. As the saying goes, it’s not the final destination that makes a journey worthwhile. It’s the climb. The progress. Think about it in engineering: the initial idea is creative in a way but the real creativity comes when you gotta problem solve methods and create new routes to get to a desired result. Which is completely taken away with AI. The chances of someone coming up with something new, using their critical thinking and creativity, is lessened when the process is done for you. If you and others that use this tired excuse want a skill so bad then learn it. Otherwise don’t act like it’s not fair you can’t do something unless you’re part of the very small percentage where it’s fully impossible.

@sasielb8922 no we can not. And that is very important. Bc most disabilities make stuff harder. Not impossible. Make it harder to walk. See. Interpret the behaviour of others. Disabilities are not just stuff that make it impossible to do something. But also stuff that makes it harder. You are using the same bias again. Someone overcoming harsher odds does not mean that those odds are not stacked against them. Introducing technology to make it easier is a good thing. Sure with a lot of effort you could walk. But you could also use technology to make the effort far smaller. The saying reflects another bias. Not all people are like you. Some people like to spend days perfecting some lines on a picture. Other people prefer optimising the ideas behind the drawing. Engineering is actually a great example. Some people like to optimise the engine. And others try to optimise how to make the engine. You are obviously in the second group. However many people prefer optimising the ideas above optimising the process. Again. People are different. Different people enjoy different part of the process. And if we look at it from an not personel perspective the result is far more important than the journey. Bc your results are watched by people. Your process rarely is. And no it is not completely taken away. It is an optional tool you can use to remove the parts you don't enjoy. The parts you are not hood at. The parts that are difficult for you. Your assumption about the chances has no data since by doing the process the ai can produce something new. Again. Ai is a tool. By inputting what you want to draw into a generator you can create hundreds of pictures how the ai would have done so. You can look at it for inspiration. You can try out general styles without needing to do all the detail work. I actually draw as a small hobby. And people like you sadly lack knowledge about the ai art field. See current ai art is just the beginning. Currently we use prompts written. In the future it will be able to interpet what you have already draw and extrapolate additional parts of the picture. This is how ai would even help people like you. Similar to the fill tool. If I remember correctly something similar was already done with some famous historical pictures and the result was good. Live is not fair. Everyone has different abilities and skills. However technology allows us to overcome our barriers. Nor good at something? Get technological help for that. Sure. Some people are able to overcome their problems. But this takes a lot of time and effort. And not everyone had this time or the motivation for that. Technology allows those people to still express their ideas in the beauty of art. And I think this is wonderful. Just immagine how many people had beautiful ideas without the ability to express them. And before you come with motivation. Everyone has a different ammount of motivation and time. Those are limited resources.

Literally why? You can just make a whole list of characteristics and prompts to go on by paper then experiment with the ideas yourself using a pencil or tablet pen. Good existing designs we've had all these years started out like that. For example if I wanted to design a demon lord succubus for myself to draw I'd mess around with ideas like (thinking off the top of my head): Horns, reptile skin, silky sea serpent iridesence, glistening, fangs, snake tongue, yokai aesthetic, tussled hair, victorian, blood, weapon type, chains, etc. If you used a character ai to determine these things your results would be more generic because it will only go with the most fed, the most ez to find and consistent results. Your ideas will not be unique compared to your human mind that can think deeper and break "out of the box". Using ai for art or even the creative thinking process is not good for stretching your creative muscles and developing a style or signature. YOU have your own obsessions your own details you like that comes through when you do everything yourself start to finish and it's like a silent signature that only ppl who obsess over your work would notice.
