The Mistborn books are awesome. I'm about 3/4 done with my The Hero of Ages reread. Mistborn is a great intro to the greater Cosmere, and I definitely recommend getting into Stormlight Archive (probably my favorite book series after Wheel of Time) after you finish Mistborn era 1.

I absolutely love Era 1 Mistborn. What was fascinating about reading Era 1 was actually witnessing how much better as a writer Sanderson grew throughout the trilogy. The Hero of Ages was exponentially better written than the first book - I'd never seen an author improve so much in such a short amount of time. Era 2 writing and characters are even more fleshed out. I won't even get into the Stormlight Archive - wow. The Way of Kings is just my favorite book ever. Enjoy your Cosmere journey

Im really enjoying the Mistborn Saga. I’m reading through my first time and I finished Shadows of Self (book 5) literally yesterday! The magic is amazing and I get what you mean about the writing “style.” I also buy full series without even reading the first book on occasion…

I just reread it last week and was wondering what you thought about it. I love the magic in it. I can see how much better his writing is now vs then, but they’re enjoyable. He writes the coolest magic systems. I love the magic in his books. I love the magic in Warbreaker too. I don’t understand how one author can have so many ideas! I don’t ever do spoilers but can say this trilogy has one of my favorite endings ever. So satisfying. Plus I’m a sucker for books that I can reread and catch a lot of foreshadowing.
