Me too. My urge to have babies was strongest when I was deeply depressed. I’m doing better now and I still think about starting a family but i know I’m just not ready for that for now. But in due time 🙏🏽

@talkswithhelena do you think? There's so much of the world that we may never see on our life time. Not that you can't do that with kids but it's more planning and challenging. The routine with a child can be very monotonous and the freedom you have now will be so different. Really appreciate your freedom, even the little things your able to do.

Reevaluate and analize your thoughts about motherhood. I can’t promise a man will stay but your kid will. I believe you could become a great mom but don’t forget all what will come with it and if your mental can handle it now. Give it at least 2 years sweets. Make long term plans, find the “right” partner and make sure the environment is ready and safe for the baby. Don’t have it just for the sake of having it. Babes wallahi me too😭😭 I want a baby so bad but knowing where I am right now in my life it’s probably not worth it. I don’t want to put my happiness in a man, or anything outside of myself and Allah. Cause I know if that thing leaves, something happens to it and/or is gone I will be searching for something else to make me happy and feel validated then I’m back to square one. Its a hard mentality to adopt but I can say im better now mentality wise than where I was 2 years ago. Its not easy at all. It takes time and im still a work in progress, but I definitely understand where you’re coming from. At the end of the day you’re a grown woman and you are gonna do what you want. But I just ask for you think about this decision and and think of everything, not just the good but also every worst possible outcome and how you would react and cope. Having the baby and God forbid it falls sick and it’s life or death, or having a miscarriage, or being a single mother and having to handle all of that on your own (Which I pray you will never ever face any difficulty, insha’Allah!) I thought about all of that and realized I have no business having a kid rn😭 but then again everyone is different and people will react differently. Nonetheless, whatever decision you make, I pray it’s a good one that will unlock tremendous blessings and goodness for you❤Pray for guidance and whether or not you should make that choice and look out for signs that are undeniable. May you get the best outcome ☺️

Everyone's going to tell you to not do it because antinatalism is trending but 22-25 is prime age. I had mine at 24.... shes 10 now and i have zero regrets. You do what you feel for yourself.. you literally get 1 life to live. The love of a child is forever so... its not an evil desire to have. It makes sense to me.

Except, until they're not. This is an irreversible decision you're making to ignore the emotional and psychological healing you should be focusing on, in your early twenties especially.

no offense ,but when ppl keep telling you that you are young, you keep responding with the fact that it was common to have kids young .true but many were mistakes ,not planned. Lots of parents regret their kids cause they had them too early or they didn't want any at all . go find something else to do. Hobbies, volunteering , work with kids who need help(that will give you purpose and if you are not willing to do something like that then you definitely should not have kids now cause it is a lot of work. They wont be cute babies forever so doing it alone might not be that helpful and when you are ready to have someone as a partner, you will not have many options cause you have a child , lets not forget about the predatory ppl)so yeah , you are still young .also not to use your spirituality against you but you are a Christian, the way that you are planning to do this is out of Gods order .when you do things out of God's order ,it ends up failing or take a long time to get better. maybe focus on getting a relationship first or if you are not interested in that ,focus on accomplishing most of your goals before bringing someone into the world .once they are here you cant get rid of them , they are your responsibility .i say this with respect .

I’ve worked with kids before and recently started doing hobbies that I like and also a support worker. Respectfully You don’t know what Gods plan are for everyone, there are people who had children at a young age who regret it and some don’t. You may never know someone having a child could be In Gods plan and help fulfil that person, everyone is different. But that sure was a long read and thank you for the “respectful” comment✨.

have a baby when you want to! as long as you are mentally and financially prepared bc at the end of the day partner or not you’re gonna be the main caregiver so it’s completely your choice. maybe save up for sperm donors or find a man who is a good friend and you can coparent who also wants a baby. the most important thing is that the mom is internally happy before the children are born so focus on your happiness and family planning

Girl 😂😂😂 as someone who is also 22 and has a uni degree and a job, kids are still not something that’s on my mind. Your early 20s are for yourself, and having a kid because you feel like it will give you a “purpose” isn’t really the right mindset. It seems more like you are doing it for yourself. If you have the chance to build a good foundation and family for ur child before you have one, you should do that. There is enough kids at a disadvantage being born into single parent families and impoverished households. But that’s just how I think…
