You spoke truths! The same 'friend' that compliments me endlessly to my face is the same person that tried to chat about me to all my other friends and even chatted me to my sister too. My sister didn't even tell me but one of my solid friends told me what was going on so I nipped it in the butt then and there. I confronted my 'friend' and she tried to back pedal and as for my sister she's always tried to highlight my flaws when other people are around even if I am not the topic of the convo. One of my friends said that I remind them of Saweetie as we look alike, if you saw the angry look on my sisters face and she rolled her eyes. I will never forget that and the worst thing is my sister is not even ugly but she makes a point to say weird things about light skin girls to me which she thinks would upset me. For context, She's dark skinned by the way. My point is that it's not even just friends, your own family can have this weird hate for you and try to humble you at every opportunity. Either way I've learned to not bring my sister around my friends because its funny how they start acting funny once she gets comfortable with them.

GIRLLLLLLL everything you have said I can relate. I even forgot to add certain family members in this too. At least you were self aware so you know how to go about things differently. The girl who even over compliment me was always talking bad about people she was friends with so it was no secret that she’s been doing the same. I can’t believe there are people like this who exists😭

the smirking from guys is the worst it genuinely triggers me now due to my experience being fat- also the gaslighting from friends, its like a dogwhistle, you know when people are referencing your weight

No honestly and I’m only realising the amount of people who have gaslighted me, it’s insane!.

I thought I was the only one that didn't have trust in females But tbh now that I read the Qur'an I think brotherhood is very important and then females just stick to family members or those within your community Thank you for sharing your story by the way ❤
