Hopped on over here to see the Sheer Voile from FWD in action and I agree that circle skirts can sometimes be a pain when it comes to stretching on the bias - I wonder if you can cut triangular gores, basically an isoceles right triangle with one edge on the straight grain and one on the cross grain (both the length of the skirt) with the 90-degree corner, and just cut straight across, and insert those between the rectangular panels to mimic a circle skirt. Theoretically, the bias on the gores will still stretch out, but the bias was initially shorter than the straight and cross grain edges anyway so it might even out? Also, where did you get your eyeglasses from? I love the frames!

You could buy the pink heals and then just make the fabric and attach it to the heals yourself. I looked at the one Etsy had and it looks like that was how they did it. But it's just an idea.

IDK whether anyone has told you yet that if it is too poofy, then you gathered more than needed. Less gathering would make it less poofy. Good work so far anyway. I'm looking forward to the rest of the project.

Idk much about sewing but wouldn’t the dress itself weigh down the ruffles?🤔

@@ArchieRichards00 it isn't black and white like that The weight of the dress does weigh down the ruffle, but the more closely fabric is gathered the more weight would be needed to pull the dress towards the gown, and at a certain point, even if gravity is doing its work, the shape of the dress is changed so much that even a very heavy weight wouldn't be able to fix the shape problem, so in many situations it's best to just use less fabric.

In pictures the shoes look more like red. I saw a pair of fancy boots in red on Amazon and they also sell the whites spats with snaps that you can use to cover the red part of the shoes you don’t want seen. Neither piece is very expensive at most I think $60

For the shoes you could buy some PU victorian style lace up boots that dont exactly match and sew some spats for the boots. Its cheaper, those kind of PU boots are usually around 50 bucks.

13:09 my daughter is 8 & is learning how to sew. My son who is 7 can also read now and I did not appreciate having to prevent them from reading the word “whore” so many times during this video that should have been not an educational experience. I think I do have to explain further than it’s something vile. If we find this in more of your videos, we will be done.
