in my opinion, i missed the actual humor part of class of 09. like, i was dying laughing watching the part where Nicole's brother wanted a pizza and jecka went "is this a pizza or a grocery list?". there were so many funny one-liners but the flipside lacked it so much. also, i think everyone agrees the feet stuff was a bit much. the game is advertised as an "anti-visual novel" yet there's weird content like that. i get it's dark humor but the other games never had any content like that. the most we had was the Megan's boyfriend's jewelry box and Jeffrey's giant cat women thing. nothing to do with the FEMALE characters. i also wished the game was a bit longer and had less scenes of jeckas abusive dad. Nicole's mom was abusive too but it wasn't as triggering. like i had to skip past a bit because it was way too much.

The first game was made in a classic visual novel style purely so it could be a fuck you to fans of the genre but now with flip side it went from being a fuck you to the visual novel fans but became a fuck you to the class of 09 fans

I feel like this is a perfect representation of what Nicole is like when she doesn't have the player guiding her actions. The first game, you could control almost everything she did and guide her to specific endings. In Re-Up, you could still make choices for her but she would force her way into specific paths regardless of what you pick. And now in Flipside, you can't control her at all, so she's free to be as unhinged and evil as she wants.

It’s not a perfect representation at ALL it was made directly out of spite from the creator and is awful Nichole is very out of character the only person in the games that Nichole shows she cares about a little bit is jecka and even though I’m aware that Nichole’s a sociopath she still wouldn’t do the thing with Jeckas dad if you followed her journey in the first games you would see that letting a old man suck her toes would be to “below” for her. she would she herself to be above that and wouldn’t do it. And in the other games when Nichole is mad at jecka she wouldn’t do shit like this. She doesn’t do anything that bad to Jecka onscreen but mostly just due to lack of opportunity and because there are other people to abuse. They both acknowledge multiple times that nicole is abusive generally and would abuse Jecka specifically. That’s probably why it was so important to actually show that happening more in this game.

With all honestly, I actually enjoy seeing your streams. However with the current drama that is currently going, I don't believe it’s a good thing that you try during those times to take position from the current drama The way I see it, Class of 09 was not really a game about "creating some sort of nostalgia for the 2000s" or "trying to show how society is cruel to people". To me it seems more parodic, and the flipside shows more this time. What I'm trying to say is the fact, it’s probably not a good idea to take side (saying this character (a lot of time Nicole) is right) because even if this game try to show some truths about how society is disgusting towards women, it’s sometimes made so much riduculous that it's hard to take it seriously. Though it was for the shocking value, endings like the middle east country mentions or Jecka's d*th being played for laugh is honestly not good. Futhermore, regarding towards the creator of this game, SBN3, it was revealed that he created this game, as a way to made this insert which is Nicole, about how he would have like to behave during this high school years. Numerous recording has made surface, and analyzing it, it seems he is both at the same time a mix between the characters of Jeffrey and Kylar. He created this game as a way to glorify Nicole, which is a overexageration on what HE WANTED to be. However when he saw the shipping and the appreciation, he created Re-Up and The Flipside as a way to show some sort of superiority towards his own appreciation. (Futhermore, old testimony from a former friend of his, say about how the creator has long story with being racist, bullying and especially homophobic. In fact, he tesmonied himself that the character of Ari was created as a way to mock gay relationship, since he liked to kill her numerous times (And to be honest Ari is such a poor representation of LGBTQ relationship). The drama will probably be erased over the next week, but it’s important to note that what make this game truly polemic, was what was trying to target the creator specially from the first game (And honestly it wasn't a suprise that the dude was a man heh ?) Anyway I'm making this long as heck comment, just to leave this message to not take any positions. For numerous people, and what I've seemed on social media, The position KZbinrs take influence the lots of people (especially your community which seemed to go from 15-20, since your content speciffically target Danganronpa games, and series for young such as Hazbin/ The Owl House. My main message is: Don't try to be so analytic toward these games, and just make content that you enjoy ! I can see that numerous of the content reaction was made to target a specific age, so don't hesitate to do what you truly enjoy ! To conclude, just a message from a long time fan, I grow up with your videos and honestly Thank you for everything !

This is another case of the Internet overhating on something and after a few years, when things will cool down, people will be able to look back on it more favorably. So much media nowadays feel like it can caught up on the public opinion storm without being looked at for what it is. The Flipside is genuinely just another follow-up of similar quality to the previous ones. It’s kinda insane to see people clutching their pearls and get offended with the abuse and the foot fetish when last games we had white nationalism, school shooting and tasteless jokes about teen suicide. The game was always irreverent and the humor wasn’t always subtle but now of a sudden people care about it. I guess what created the fall of dominoes that made everyone get caught up in that narrative that the game is horrible is that the game goes against fan headcanon. I’m glad the creator made this game to accentuated that Nicole wasn’t some "Gay Girlboss Antiheroine" like the fandom try to flanderize her as and is just a fucked-up who doesn’t care about anything. Fans genuinely starts to act like the incels who idolized the Wolf of Wallstreet protagonist or the one from Taxi Driver by not seeing that Nicole isn’t someone you’re supposed to be rooting for. Video spoilers: the ending is so.... 2:59:10 ...weird? why?? is there a reason why we brought the taliban in this??? it's so weird....? usually it made sense, they didn't even *tie* the taliban in to anything? it feels uncalled for and random, not foreshadowed like the police thing. i don't know, it's just...weird? like he just wanted her to be a sex slave for the sake of it being edgy. plenty of edgy things happen but it always feels like they had *build* up to it, even that racist route, or the nicole killing herself route. this specific one sticks out to me as not having any reason to happen. like, bring up the taliban at least *one* more time before making your entire ending based off jecka being abused and mildly racist towards them. they brought up indian guys, couldn't foreshadow the taliban thing a *little*, it feels so obviously cheap and just an excuse to make a bunch of middle eastern jokes and show the now legal jecka roughed up in bikini (that's the other thing also, this game feels like it has significantly more 'fanservice', ignoring any future feet stuff i haven't gotten to, like that opening cut scene).

The only valid criticism i can see is there being less choices and less endings and maybe the game being less funny because of that, but to me personally its the same as the other games. But maybe id understand more if it wasn’t for the finale message the game creator made… In the first game one of the endings moves to LA but in the sequel we see that doesnt happen in the second game theres only like one mediocre ending and i think its just beautifully tragic at the end of the trilogy theres no happy ending as in my opinion not all storys don’t need to have them and it hurts more cuz there true, people actually get human tr*fficked, people actually get killed and r*ped, and it hurt more that it was actually a somewhat decent human like Jessica, i mean she thinks people who dont get there genitals mutilated deserve death and is overall just not really a good person, but thats the point people are over shitty in this game for comedy. But in a world where people are overly shitty, in a world thats shitty it can feel like only bad things happen and for the amount of people who can relate to this including myself its genuinely tragic to where at the end of the game reading that message i actually cried. Know this is coming from someone who wasn’t cringed out by any of the humor if you were i can see why people wouldn’t like this game, id actually agree and think its the weakest game out of the three games because just the lack of options but the amount of hate this game gets is really uncalled for in my opinion. 1. Nicole never stopped being friends with Jecka for Emily, she was put in remedial classes which have a different lunch period. Infact in both times she's in Remedial we see Jecka, only because Nicole is skipping. She never stopped being friends with Jecka, she just started being friends with Nicole. 2. The only valid criticism are: Less endings, Less choices, and the Feet. I don't care what you say how they handled the feet was stupid. When Nicole had to sell her body we never saw a scene of her doing anything, we only hear about it. Which is why it was handled better. There are so many other ways to show Jecka being victimised and becoming a whore that give off the same message. 3. Scratch that, another criticism is missed potential. Karen and Kyle were literally RIGHT THERE they both had established relationships with Jecka that were never used. Imagine after talking about how the choices you make affect your future in the intro: you instantly have to chose between Karen and Social Life. 2 branches that alter how the game is played.

I just don't understand the hate this game gets. The only criticisms that are valid are the lack of options and endings. The whole feet section is an allegory for sex work, and it is sex work. This game provides commentary through comedy. I think the main problem of the fanbase and this game is the fanbase romanticizing the characters. Literally everyone is terrible in this game.

Some valid criticisms are that it was made directly out of spite from the creator and is awful Nichole is very out of character the only person in the games that Nichole shows she cares about a little bit is jecka and even though I’m aware that Nichole’s a sociopath she still wouldn’t do the thing with Jeckas dad if you followed her journey in the first games you would see that letting a old man suck her toes would be to “below” for her. she would she herself to be above that and wouldn’t do it. And in the other games when Nichole is mad at jecka she wouldn’t do shit like this. SO it’s completely out of character. Another example is when Nichole kills herself she has a speech which reflects on her decision which is very thoughtful then Jeckas is just about how she is a slut and a whore with 0 thought behind it . There are many horrible things about this game but I cannot care to elaborate this is long enough already. One last thing is a friend of the creator has confirmed that the creator made this as fetish content and made this game bad on purpose to piss off the queer fans who are the HUGE MAJORITY OF THE FANBASE

It’s just that in the previous games, she was terrible, but didn’t go out of her way to hurt Jecka like the other characters. Like yes her actions were bad but they were humorous…the point of the game. I’m saying in MY opinion, I didn’t like her in this game because of how she treated Jecka and it wasn’t funny…to me. I feel like I’m allowed to like a character but not excuse their actions because they’re not real. And I’m also allowed to change my opinion. Hope this helps!

I have no idea how anyone could play the first two games and think a woman wrote them. Maaaaaybe a trans woman who was living as a boy at the time but as someone who grew up during that time myself it was very obvious. It’s interesting how much this game reveals how little people really understood nicole and jeckas relationship before. That’s probably why it was necessary, otherwise this game probably would have ended up another fight club where people with zero understanding of the story or themes develop a toxic misaimed fandom. This is another case of the Internet overhating on something and after a few years, when things will cool down, people will be able to look back on it more favorably. So much media nowadays feel like it can caught up on the public opinion storm without being looked at for what it is. The Flipside is genuinely just another follow-up of similar quality to the previous ones. It’s kinda insane to see people clutching their pearls and get offended with the abuse and the foot fetish when last games we had white nationalism, school shooting and tasteless jokes about teen suicide. The game was always irreverent and the humor wasn’t always subtle but now of a sudden people care about it. I guess what created the fall of dominoes that made everyone get caught up in that narrative that the game is horrible is that the game goes against fan headcanon. I’m glad the creator made this game to accentuated that Nicole wasn’t some "Gay Girlboss Antiheroine" like the fandom try to flanderize her as and is just a fucked-up who doesn’t care about anything or anyone. Fans genuinely started to act like the incels who idolized the Wolf of Wallstreet protagonist or the one from Taxi Driver by not seeing that Nicole isn’t someone you’re supposed to be rooting for. No wonder the creator would hate his fandom. TL;DR: I really hate media discussion nowadays and I can’t wait to be in the future where people would stop having reactionary opinion about the game and it can be looked more objectively.
