Kind of a no brainer comment here, but...I love Silent Hill because of what it feels like to me. Music tracks like this have been around for a while now, and I have not come across a channel that hasn't done the style bad. I think its universal. The music, the game and feelings. Silent Hill is (to me) a physical representation of Depression, Anxiety and PTSD. the gray, foggy gloom of Silent Hill captures the emotions of depression and it's isolated feelings. The fog is the anxiety of the unknown or what's to come. We cant see wherre we're going or what might be in it. The monsters and entities represent the past that haunts us, the present that scares us and the uncertainty of the future. Its a potent combination of story telling, ambience and scenery that (again, to me) accurately depict mental health or the decline of it. Truiy a masterpiece of gaming

listening to this right before i play silent hill 2 remake, i have not seen or played silent hill games before so this will be a first time for me, but i cant wait, ive always loved ambiance, and silent hill 2 looks like thats what it will be for me, i love the creepy environment, and i love watching videos like yours, where its james in a location undisturbed to enjoy music as thats always brought joy to me.

The music in silent hill series is not so ambient-like like the creations of Departure or any other silent hill fan. Recently I've completed SH4 and it has a very aggressive and degenerate sound, which in some way makes the game more appealing but at the same time repulsive. Haven't played the remake yet but I hope it delivers some of the peaceful locations, like RE franchise have with their typewriter rooms. Honestly I could listen to the music of some of the RE save rooms for hours.
