Oh my gosh Lindsay- NO COMPUTER!!!! Unplug!!! We will be fine in Teachable, and if we’re not, we can patiently wait a few days because you SO deserve a week’s vacation without thinking about this channel and your students! Oui in France is a youtube channel made for folks going to France for a visit. Having taken French in high school, I was pleasantly surprised to have several opportunities to use it later in life, and I get a kick out of perusing French-teaching channels to see what I remember. According to Diane of Oui in France, THE most important thing to remember is to always greet folks with Bonjour. Enjoy your trip!

Doctor Who, Buffy, Grimm, Halloween! - Lindsay, you are my people!! 😂 I used to sing “Going Thru the Motions” from OMWF about my job! Such a great episode! Awesome news about the France retreat! My sister and I are already confirmed for the first session! I’ve seen pics online of another art retreat held at the same place - it is absolutely beautiful there; it’s going to be an awesome trip!! Uptrek has great reviews for its art retreats, and wow, they sell out quickly!!! I’m trying to make my way thru your drawing class and the 30 day watercolor class on Teachable! But I got a 9-month old puppy in late August and I’d forgotten how much time (and energy!!) they take up! 🤣 I’ll get there, though!!

I just got back from 2 weeks in France and I am thrilled that you will have two weeks to enjoy every bit of it. I attended a painting class in the Van Gough style while in Arles. It was quick but fun and oh what a wonderful area! So Jealous that your trip is still to come!!

Have a wonderful vacation. It is chilly here in PA. 51 degrees. Definitely Fall. Thank you for telling me why my leaves have spots on them. They always have spots and mold on them here. I live by a creek at the bottom of a hollow. We went to a library book sale yesterday. My favorite thing to do. It is a treasure hunt. Books always keep on giving.

Hullo Lindsay, thanks for the SATChat! you always give good content even when your just going along. I remember when I was younger and my uncle gave books for Christmas presents. We were going to Grandmas house and it was a huge deal with dozens of families and every branch showed up! I remember when I opened my book and was truly amazed, but I remember some of my cousins opened their presents and so many exclaimed “A book? What am I going to do with this?” I love that you bring me memories of the younger me! I have always loved getting books! I hope you enjoy your vacation and Please it is ok to have time off! SAD WEEK an actress that I used to love to watch on DARK SHADOWS passed away at the age of 84 in her sleep, LARA PARKER who played the evil witch on the show died this past week. I had met her at a Dark Shadow Convention in the World Trade Center and she was very sweet, and then Mark Goddard who played on Lost In Space also passed away. Such a sad week.

Wow! So much good stuff in Sat Chat today! I love that you love Grimm ~ it was filmed here in Portland OR and friends and I would often go out to watch the nighttime flming. We met Nick and Hank and Monroe and the other characters. A friend actually was an "extra" on one of the shoots! Many of the city scenes were filmed within half a mile of my home. Reruns are now showing on TV, too. I love the Red Riding Hood costume. An off the shoulder peasant type top would be ideal. And two weeks in France?? How absolutely fabulous is that?? I sure hope you get to do plenty of sightseeing in the area during this once-in-a-lifetime adventure and that Mr Frugal will be able to enjoy some of it with you!

Teachable should have a vacation mode. Enjoy your vacation! Judging by my own Rosa paints, I think the sale really was due to overstock. Some of my colors had the waxed paper stuck to them so hard that I had to peel off a layer of paint to get it off. So I think it was old stock that maybe couldn't get out of Ukraine for awhile. Of course it wasn't bad enough to prevent me from getting another set before the sale ended. Strathmore often does these sales too. I bought their learning series for $4/book a couple of years ago. Amazon is still carrying the series, now at normal price. So they apparently also have overstock they need to unload, before the sizing expires or whatever.

amazon warehouse fees triple this time of year til after the holidays. And now the longer a thing stays in the warehouse the more they charge. A lot of people try to get rid of their warehouse stock and just sell direct from seller til Januray so they dont lose all profits. Have a good weekend!
