tbh car culture as a whole is tiring and unappealing. On one side, it’s this where the cars just rot away and people being angry about everything. On another, it’s the modern clout chasing where people go broke constantly modifying and tearing cars up. On another, the rich kids….I can go on, but the point should be clear. It currently isn’t that much fun to be a reasonable car person to find a car community to enjoy.

They made alternatives far to impractical. Every sedan I get into is slammed to the ground. Always have my head about to hit or is hitting the roof. And I'm only 5'9. Trunks on a sedan are very impractical. Older cars I see have better ground clearance and better roof lines. People have never been a fan of wagons.

I had a rare car once, it was a Mazdaspeed 6. I brought it to a Japanese car show and the only people that gave two craps about it were the 2 other Mazda guys at the show and owner of the only Mitsubishi at the show 😂. The show was pretty much all Z cars, WRXs, and riced out Civics. They only had actual sections for Nissans, Honda's, Subarus, Toyotas, and "other", which was me, one RX-7, the Mazda race team who had a Protoge and a Miata race cars, and the dude with the Mitsubishi Lancer. There might have been a random Suzuki there too.

Yep, those plain Chevys and the whole Malaise Era vibe has infiltrated every car meet. That said, that's probably more interesting than row upon row of Hellcats, C7s, KIa Stingers, late-00s Mustangs with 900 hp pushed through solid rear axles, stanced Mercede, WRXs, and M4s with the ugly oversized grilles. I'd rather see row upon row of 60s VW buses, actually.

That Celica is beautiful and is an actual rare model. That is a 1 of 200 made USGP edition in blue they made 200 in white and 200 in red as well. What made it special was the honeycomb grill,special side graphics, white vinyl interior, Supra alloy wheels, and the black B pillar covers.

1903 vs. 1911. Not that big a spread. Also, T-buckets and Model A hotrods were once THE thing. The Ford/GM thing is one of those perennial 'who cares' things for me. I remember back in the 1970's though, it was a serious deal in my group of friends. You could be de-friended for being on the wrong side. And both the Ford and Chevy people rolled eyes at the iconoclastic Mopar dudes. It was a fun time.

I'd rather go to these kind of car shows instead of going past rows of Hellcats, C7 & C8 Corvettes, riced out V6 Mustangs, and a bunch of Subaru STIs/WRXs. If you watched a Drew Peacock video or went to a car show in California, you'll understand why. East coast car shows can be mild & boring, but at least it's not ricers and takeover prone drivers here in Cali.

I love that 1959 caddy. It is sick, your right though. My uncle let me borrow his for prom in 06, and gas was 5 bucks a gallon. Cost almost 200 bucks to fill it. Really cool fun car.

Its because Gm and Chevrolet actually uesd to make a ton of legendary different models. Meanwhile Ford had the Mustang and the F-150 and thats about it lol
