Death Must Die easily has the best level in the genre, but this is the only level right now. Thankfully you can scale the difficulty up a lot to get better loot. 2nd level drops in Q1 2024.

I would love to play other games like Vampire Survivor. However Their coding, and other aspect of their game got stolen by their mobile department, and many games are using those stolen properties to make their own games. So I can't in good faith give them money from stealing from one of my favorite games. This game looks like it uses some of VS with some interesting twists. From the Devs: It doesn't seem like the team were in a rush to get the mobile version out until clones started appearing. "Months passed by and a large number of actual clones - not "games like Vampire Survivors", but actual 1:1 copies with stolen code, assets, data, progression - started to appear everywhere. This forced our hand to release the mobile game ASAP, and put a lot of stress on the dev team that wasn't even supposed to worry about mobile in the first place."

Takes movement speed which doesnt do anything when auto-attacking instead of ball lightning (dash turns u into lightning, damaging enemies and allowing you to pass through them) "Movement speed is so good, ball lightning removing auto attack is so bad because i need to keep doing damage." Doesnt take Time Field during 2 burned rerolls because "its bad". Literally slows every enemy around you so you can avoid getting caught. "The problem i have is survivability and move speed." You gotta love it.

6:00 this game is already way better (more enjoyable) than vamp survivors. For one simple reason. Your spells actually TARGET enemies, like the meteors. They dont just randomly fall on empty space when enemies are on the other side waiting to get hit. There's something to say for randomness, but it can be extremely stupid if simple logic could dramatically increase fun factor (and effectiveness).

Cool game but it ends very fast, as of now it's like 6-7 hours and you can unlock almost everything (new updates will add more in due time). The main grind is gear. Gear is one of the best things about this game and what you can get is insane. For example 30+ skeletons and maybe 2 or more dragons just from your gear. Lifelink, lightning bolt, full fire, soulstealers are easiest ways to win. Only mage girl is ranged so first two options allow your melee characters effortlessly beat everything just by moving and dashing around. Gem high is broken too but depends on mob density. Random buffs per level is a fun one too (alternation ritual or something).

I did a crapload of messing around with this game and ReShade and managed to force Auto HDR, the addon version (the real HDR for non-HDR games) into it and after some fine tuning with other modules... this game looks absolutely fire. I would recommend anyone that has a HDR screen to have a fiddle, it had some brilliant colour when enhanced properly, truly a beautiful game.

Every ability is the same "fill the screen with a different color and different reskinned DoT" every passive is "le biggr numbar" and every enemy is kited the same way. Mind boggling how people think Asmon will enjoy a game without a hint of strategical value or unique abilities after having played WoW his entire life.

Unlocked everything already and still wanna play more - sadly as of now, there is more content. But it was a great time and imo it is better than Halls of Torment. The only "not so good" part about Death must Die is the lack of really good items... Tip for anyone who wants to play Death must Die - Roll for "Death" blessings - Soul Eater + Ravens of Pestilence + Deadly Strike + Mayhem - this will give you almost unlimited Damage - Killed the Endboss in 2 Hits 😅 The earlier you get Mayhem the better - it gives + 0,1 - 0,2 % Dmg per Enemy killed with Curse

I would max out the difficulty each run going forward, so you can reach max difficulty more quickly and get better items. Also, turn auto-attack off and aim and attack with your mouse. It allows directional attacking and let's you maneuver better.

Vampire survivors new DLC is a part 2 in a part 1 game. Getting 700 damage now, all 6 weapon evolutions. Vampire survivors is massive now and free. Asmongold would freak if he played the ode to castlevania DLC. Looks like Survivor games are now a genre like metroidvania

btw the "When enemies attack you do a fireball/smite" is REALLY good when you become more tanky. Nixi hits twice really fast, so she scales better with "on attack" / "on hit" effects. edit: or if you go for max evasion, as long as enemies are attacking you but not hitting you, you'll be spaming fireballs and smites.

Biggest mistake: Not dropping white items and replacing them with new items when inventory is full Second biggest mistake: Has multiple spells and 1 attack. Goes for 12% attack damage instead of buffing ALL spells which means he lost out on AoE, damage, survivability and so on. Spell speed is just far too good especially when you consider the fact it applies to all spells. Investing everything into an auto attack that now functions more like a support than a damage skill is a horrible idea

I love how for the sake of entertainment he hypes everything about the game. He picked Meteors, and then goes "OH MY GOD! THIS IS INSANE!" while it's the beginning of the game and you one-shot most enemies with the basic attack. Also, I think attacks that kill enemies far away are a trap on the early game because you need the XP crystals, and they kill enemies far from you, so it takes longer to level up.

I played 300 hrs of this game and only encountered 10 bugs , and only 3 of them were crashes, on which i could still load the last save and didnt lose any progress , 100% checked every corner and the maps for invisible wall spots.

This genre is growing so fast and iam happy about it... why this games are popping out? Probably because they are simple but fun to play. is really refreshing to just sit play chill. On the other hand, the new big games where you have 1000things you have to do systems etc. Feel like sometimes simplier the game more fun you have.

This is a good game. Just got it today also. It took me about an hour to learn that the only thing I need to focus on is getting the yellow dots on the mini map.
