Man that was an excellent find and I have one myself that I'm currently restoring. The manufacturing/production years range 1954-1962. IMO those are striking gold!

Hello jiujitsu 2000! New subscriber so just now saw this video. Heard you say you weren’t sure how old your 425B stove is. Coleman made the 425B from 1954 through 1961. Initially the tanks were painted with bronze lacquer but in 1958 Coleman switched to the red paint your stove has. Therefore your stove was made between 1958 and 1961. Enjoyed your video, that was a great find, it is in really nice condition for its age and for $6?!!! Wow! God Bless!

Lots of different numbered Coleman stoves on Facebook marketplace and yes it doth not matter what year it was created they with the parts complete just plain work well. My 431 is from1985 my 432 is from 1969 . They run on Coleman fuel or unleaded gas .

I just found a 425e for 10 bucks and it looks like new . I think the lady bought it and never used it but the pump is not working . I think it needs to be oiled up which I’m going to try that today . Hope you like your find .

Im so very happy for you! Enjoy! And thanx for kero. Demo on other channel! How long can you cook using kero? If the generator should drip kero, would there be danger of flareup or explosion? Still concerned. And does coleman condone use of kerosene? Thanx for any help.

If the tank is original to the stove, the date of manufacture will be stamped on the underside of the tank.

Got the same 425B on offer up about a year ago for $15, all i needed was a new o ring for the fill cap. Awesome find. I live near Los Angeles and I see a lot of 425s for $30 or less and a few 3 burner and a few 413s, one was $20 but I have 3 total camp stoves so I am good. Im not a collector. I also got a 200A circa 75 for $30 very clean and an average 220F for like $25-30. 👍

That is a nice find. I kept all my old Coleman products. I'll never get rid of them, there all brutes. Easy clean easy fix items. All Coleman's are heavy duty. I still pick up Coleman items from yard sales. Strip them and keep everything that is still good, but 90% of the time I can't, because there is hardly anything wrong with them that a little cleaning can't resolve. Your video just proved how responsive they can be even after setting around unused for years.

I've gathered many of these from goodwill over the years. Have given as prep presents to kids. Usually also get the propane adapters to allow them to run on the white gas or propane. Good find.

I have a few of these old pump stoves too. Yes that is a cleaning arm your turning. it has a needle in it to keep the Orpheus clean inside the gas transfer chamber. I don't have this model. It should have the year it was made stamped on the bottom. I am like you I love my stoves. $6 ? Wow you should have been put in JIUJITSU jail! LMBO

Nice score. I got an older Coleman camp stove years ago from a freecycle group we used to have in town, I cleaned it up but the fuel line was messed up, I converted it to propane with the stansport adapter, but need to buy a new tank and tube for it so I can run it on Coleman gas too.

I bought one of of these about 35 years ago and a Coleman double mantle lantern. Still have them both and they both work. Used them when I took the daughter camping years ago. And yeah, they work excellent with a cast iron skillet of home fries. Cool find.

You know, I've been keeping the stove and lantern in case of power outages but never had to use either for that. I haven't used them in a lot of years. I think I'll go down to the garage later just to revisit 'em. BTW, I'm pretty sure both were fueled up the last time I used 'em. In any case I have 2 gallons Coleman fuel unopened and probably 1/2 gal in another can. I don't think it goes bad. I've always used Coleman fuel in them... I'm not even sure where to get white gas now days.

Score!! I have a borderline-unhealthy habit for these old stoves. I currently own six! A 425, 425b, I have an old 426d three burner. I even have couple of the really old ones with the cylindrical copper colored fuel tanks! I'm happy for your find. That thing will last forever, and you'll be handing it down to your kids. Thanks for sharing!

You made out like a bandit for $6. I bought two of them off ebay, one for parts. I ended up having to pay $65 to have one rebuilt. If it is like the others I grew up with, they will outlast you. Oh, and you can get a propane generator that you can swap for the white gas one if you need to. Also, if you feel inclined, you can carefully (taking appropriate precautions) solder a tire valve stem into that white gas tank that will allow you to pump that tank up with a 12V tire air compressor.

Great stove and even better price! About 12 years ago I found a little newer version of the 425 still in the box for about $40 and i thought I had stolen it! About the only thing that needs to be replaced on these stoves is the generator tube which is available anywhere. Walmart carries them.

Love my Coleman stoves! I have the single burner 422 dual fuel, the dual fuel double burner and a white gas dual burner + a propane version. Love the dual fuel stoves especially in very cold weather. The design of these stoves go back a long ways. They were low light cookers that wouldn't attract enemy fire from a distance. They were noisy as heck though haha. Good video!

The only scary thing that i see is the design flaw of having yhe feed pipe running right through the flame & heat of the primary burner. It looks like its been used so im guessing it is safe. Im gonna look for more of tgem to see if tgey upgraded them or it isn't & never became an issue. Thst main burner looks like the 5000btu burner on my stove! WOW! Thats power! GO USA! Simple, effective & DURABLE!
