PENNY. That's not cell shading clipping through the brothers' hats. That's their EYEBROWS which are placed OVER THEIR RIMS for more exaggerated expressions!! Edit: I gotta add I loooove the squash and stretch. They pulled off the artstyle so well. I do think something feels off about the boss's attacks don't quite stand out from the bright floor texture and environmental lighting in the battle you pointed out. The framing might be a bit off when defending but everything else looks so good. The framing is awesome on bros attacks. This is the first time we got M&L on true widescreen. Worth mentioning they opted for a similar camera angle when defending to Superstar Saga.

@@kjj26k I decided to check Ocarina’s final boss, and yeah, I guess she just stands next to the master sword uselessly until you can walk over to get it. I sort of assumed she did something there. The other times where Zelda does things, besides phantom Zelda and CDI, are in games I have no experience with. I assume Skyward Zelda would be willing to use a sword, which begs the question of why they wouldn’t write a main character that does action stuff. (Obviously to do this other mechanic, so whatever)

The Denpa Men were a series of games on the 3ds, and out of all the cool underrated 3ds games and/or series they could have brought back, like Pushmo, HarmoKnight or Rhythm Thief... I can't believe they chose the frickin' Denpa Men. I mean they were fun games (I'm saying that from my experience with the Demo alone but regardless, it was pretty fun) but I'm still surprised. Especially since the original series' identity and gameplay loop relied a lot on the 3ds' camera to find and catch Denpa Men around you with the Augmented Reality feature, something the Switch can't do.

Many of the team from Alphadream that went bankrupt were hired internally at nintendo. Such as Hiroyuki Kubota, who was a director of the Mario and Luigi series, he now works at Monolithsoft. And Prime 4 will most likely be cross gen, with some upgrades on the successor. Metroid prime 4 needs that 140 million Switch users to make sure it sells relatively well. Despite apparently being loved and critically well recieved Metroid does not sell well.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D was so damn beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. I played that game on Switch a couple of years ago (the mobile port, in essence) and I absolutely fell in love with it. It's probably still my favorite DQ game that I've played (V might top it). I can't *wait* to play this new version and just get more obsessed with it! On top of that, LOZ: Echoes of Wisdom looks amazing! I can't wait to find all sorts of fun solutions to puzzles! It's going to be a blast! Metroid Prime 4 is just such a damn hype announcement, too. I know that I shouldn't be shocked at how beautiful it is, given Retro Studios' track record (especially with Metroid Prime), but it's still awe-inspiring to see. DKC: Returns HD and MIO both look amazing as well! Between this Direct and the Xbox Showcase, I'm personally eating *very* good in the coming year.
