Hey Jess ! Liked this video. Easy tip. So you don’t lose the “puck” for the kickstand . Tie a nice cord through the provided hole long enough to loop over the handle bar. Makes retrieve easy too. Hello from cold wet Ohio!

One thing about owning a business is you have to take time off. Schedule it and let folks know. You have to let go of the “I gotta work all the time, to be successful” because you won’t be successful if you are burned out either. Record enough to turn 2 days of riding into 2-3 videos.

I really hope you keep with the red helmet, for those of us who know and are looking forward to bumping into our friend, it’s great. I like my Schuberth helmet because it is a fairly light modular, but with the built in coms it saves some weight and cuts the wind noise. Keep up the good work! Long comment, but I want you to have the bestest time in the Alps!! So excited for you to discover the Alps! As a big and tall guy who has always owned and loved big bikes much like your love of baggers and wings. I strongly urge you to pick the smallest lightest bike they will give you. Sportser or nightster. It’s such a different kind of riding then we do here, with tons of low speed clutch slippin switchback. A big bike is tiring and liability. Frankly the roads are very narrow and amazingly fun. I’m super glad I did it on an 850. You’ll probably only average 150 miles a day and about 30 miles an hour. Both sound ridiculous but when you get there you’ll understand. Have a freaking blast!

For a nice road trip, you should shoot over to Brooksville and jump on Highway 98 for a ride out to Pensacola. Once you get past Medart, it's a beautiful ride along the coast to Pensacola. Lots of views, good food, lots of campgrounds if you feel the weather is nice enough for that. You'll enjoy it immensely!

All full faced helmets are hot, I like the LS2 because of the 180 degree chin bar folds completely out of the way. It makes for nice riding but to me it is still too hot. They come with a bag as well as a backpack to slog them around if you don't need it.

I actually got the HD modular helmet. It's EXTREMELY light. I have my GoPro and mic on it and it also came with a com system built in and it's still lighter than my old full face was. I ended up getting it on sale, but it's not terribly expensive. It's also super comfortable right out of the box, not much break in time needed at all. B-roll footage looks good!

The R6 Mk2 is a great camera for video and stills. I have the R6 and it has been a workhorse for me. I am a retired professional photographer and college photography instructor. Have fun with the new camera.

I too was not satisfied with the weight and airflow of the Shoei Neotec II. Replaced it with the HJC RPHA 90S CARBON and could not be happier! Much lighter and cooler, and suprisingly quiet as well.

I have a SHOEI full-face, a Harley modular, a SENA modular and a few other helmets. The SENA has a wireless headset built in. I’ve put a SENA wireless headset on the full face SHOEI with a camera. I’ve only used the still photography option to the camera so far. I prefer the SHOEI full-face in most situations and enjoy being able to use the camera. However, when it is hot, the lightweight SENA modular is the one I go to the most.

You visited the campground at Lake Monroe! 😊 I’ve tented there twice. I like it despite a busy highway on one side and the PA blaring occasionally at the power plant on the other. And the occasional train whistle. Potentially, a lot of noise, but a nice place nevertheless. I trailered my folding bicycle behind my Goldwing and enjoyed the bike trail that circles around the lake. The campground doesn’t have a website, but reservations can be made by phoning the municipal office. There are 3 or 4 sites set aside for tents only. Hope you brought your tent and camping gear with you to Florida!

Bell Broozer iz a great helmet. It's a great medium between a modular helmet and a regular full-face helmet. Very light and has decent ventilation.

For a destination ride, take a ride to Starbase at Boca Chika, TX and cover a SpaceX Starship launch. There's South Padre Island and camping available (Rocket Ranch and others). I'm looking at buying a bike and doing the 1059 mile ride myself. The next launch should be in February. I won't be able to make that one, but perhaps the one after that. Enjoy the journey.

if you want to stay cool, get a white helmet. I live in Greece and in the summer it gets super hot on the road. The only thing that saves me is that I got a white helmet!! I know it sounds a little bland but it certainly does the trick.

My favorite helmet of all time is my agv k1s. My new helmet I got for Xmas is the sedici duale. I'm not going to say no. To free helmet but. I wish I could get my k1s in white ad size medium again. Of course what do I know I ride a g310gs 2022 polarwhite with a 17t front sprocket. I'll never know what acceleration is but I ride comfortable and old man pace at 42. Roll on and keep being awesome

About your modular helmet question, I'm waiting for the Shoei Neotech 3. (Sorry, I'm a total Shoei fan) No idea if it will be lighter. Modular helmets are seldom "lite". But I feel you, we all want lighter.

Hi Jess, you might want to check out the schuberth helmets. They are rated as the quietest helmet on the market and very light. They have multiple models to check out. They even have a carbon helmet that is super light.

Look at the LS2Advantx. It’s modular at 3.5 lbs. i got mine in July right before Vamm23. I love it. I was wearing a RuRoc and it’s as light. They have a carbon under 3👍👍😎😎

The kickstand pad reminded me of the old days when most motorcycles had a seat hinged on the side and I carried an old license plate under my seat so my kickstand wouldn't sink in the hot pavement.

Try the LS2 Advant X Carbon fiber modular helmet. Just over 3 pounds and the jawline goes to the back or your head. It only comes in matte black though, so if you're looking for colors....

The problem with the very lightest helmets is that they are made of carbon fiber and are loud, which is obviously not a good thing when you're recording a moto-vlog. My AGV Sportmodular Carbon only weighs 3.2#, and I love it, but it's loud compared to the Shoei Neotec and Schuberth C5. I started riding in 1980, so "loud" is relative. My AGV is still quieter than the Arai full-face I wore 40 years ago.... at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Sounds like you need to tighten down that sissy bar (perhaps use some blue loctite). The phone mic doesn't work very well. You might consider the DJI Wireless Mic2. The sound is decent and it has optional on board noise reduction. I prefer to do that in post just because I can turn it off if it makes it sound like crap, but if I had it on when recording there's no going back. In reality, it's probably fine, but... Happy to see you do whatever you want to do. Your videos are usually interesting, no matter what form because of your ability, talent and charm.

I say if you want a modular, deal with the Shoei. There are none better. Schubereth would be the only comparable model and I would choose the Shoei over it.
