Good afternoon 😊 You spend your money and you want to do things right so if you overstocked on food you should be rotating it the way it's supposed to be done. I have three pantries I have a working pantry that's an everyday pantry. I have a backup to that pantry (canned foods I've canned) and I have a long-term pantry and I rotate them like you would anything else. My prepping is downstairs so no room upstairs is taken up. My prepping goes by depression era prepping YT only gave me only gave me hints.

Good afternoon PBF 💜 No need for an apology but I totally understand what you are saying. Won't speak for others but my hubby and I pray, seek advice, and follow our instincts. We are all on our own journeys. For us, we were more influenced by what we were seeing happening around us than anything else. Our wake up moment hit when we had to move into the basement and there was no room for us to put our bed while the repairs were being made. I totally understand about not being able to move about in my home. We have corrected that situation and will be moving back upstairs very shortly. However, the space in the basement will remain extra space in the basement. Realistically, we know we will only survive a certain amount of time because we don't have the type of supplies for long-term survival like heating, water source, etc. That's our reality and the best we can do. However, God is Sovereign and in control of what happens to us. I am so grateful to be a part of this community and have learned things that are very relevant and things I did not know. @@PreppingbyFaith We were convicted about the being a good steward as well. God has taught us balance. We have also learned another important lesson ... preps don't mean a thing if something happens to them, i.e. a storm, etc. But these are all things we learned along the way. Others have different journeys and are able to store and do more. It's ok ... we just do the best we can and let God handle the rest. 💜💜

It is hard for content creators to try to keep fresh content, but I didn't feel pressured by you. You did seem more stressed a couple of years ago, but God will ground us. I never went for the stack it to the rafters talk on some channels, but 4 years ago, a lot of folks were getting scared. It was just seeing how prices were going up and realizing that it was good to put back things I used very frequently and rotate stock, only replace whats necessary, but no, you never pressured us. ❤

I don't think you can be under with food. What's coming towards us? You can only see the writing on the wall. So anybody that stocked up rotate them? It is worth it. You have to be crazy not to do it right now. When the writing is on the wall, but what's going on? So you did nothing wrong. It's the people that got rid of the food and did not rotate or do it, right? They can do their research. The food will last. For a long time

Moving is overwhelming no matter how much or how little you have. When you have to pack everything up, it's always a bigger job than you think its going to be. Just my humble opinion, I think maybe you were just understandably overwhelmed and made the easiest reaction to it. I wouldn't add guilt to your feelings. Im guessing there are extremely few that are over prepared, if there's even really such a thing. Two to three years of preps really isn't going overboard. That's a reasonable amount of time for which to be prepared. I personally don't think this is the year or the time to downsize. As preppers, we all should have things that we may not currently use or have a need for, hence the preparedness for the time that we may. That's not lacking faith or being unwise. Not to discourage what you feel you need to do, but i hope the day doesn't come that you realize maybe you were right to begin with.

Thank you for sharing your perspective 😊 I think everyone has to figure out what works best for their family and situation and prepping is truly a journey, just like our walk with the Lord. I realized for me personally, it was becoming a problem in which I was no longer relying or trusting in God, but trying to do it all in my own strength. I still have plenty of preps and will eventually share them with all of you, but I no longer look at them the same way I did. For many, maybe this isn't the same situation, but for me personally I realized I had gone overboard.

Hm. The few losses I've incurred were just a few cans which were lost in the shuffle, but this was due to me not upgrading the inventory system. Except for one can of fish; it developed a pinhole leak which wasn't noticable for several months. On that note, a percentage of loss is normal when storing anything, especially foodstuffs. We cannot control everything. We cannot watch every grain of rice. Have you been a bad influence? That's more for you to say than me. As for me, you haven't. But then, we are all adults. I don't listen to the 5,000 channels who advise going heavy on bulk wheat berries. I'm an adult. I don't have $400+ or space for a mill, I don't want to grind grain every 3 days, and I'm allergic. I did appreciate their reasons and their sharing of knowledge and experience. But I didn't blindly mimic them. I'd like to think most preppers are careful this way. Have a great weekend!

I've had panic attacks and worries about not having enough.. and I've made tons of mistakes. I do get the addiction aspect, for me it was out of fear. I started reading the bible and thinking and praying about Rapture. I really do see Rapture in the Bible, but If I'm wrong, I also see that the 6th day of God is almost completed, and the tribulation time is coming. So.. I reassessed also. I still want to have at least a month of easily used food in the pantry, for emergency needs, a job loss.. a big bill that I have to pay.. Illness so that I can't get to groc store.. some sort of disaster like an attack that destroys our Grid system, Or Trucks or Railroads stopping. Right now I'm working on eating most of my canned food, and honestly it's really helped me financially, weekly food budget is the one place I have total control over and if I can make meals from the canned food at least once or twice a week it's a financial blessing. I do have some long term stuff.. for the 6 month plan. Wish I lived in a place where we could grow things, I live in a desert city, so we also don't have water easy to get. You should be proud of yourself for reassessing, because that's how we grow. The bottom line isn't this life on earth.. We do the best we can while we're here and put God first.. But the end is death of the body for all.. So the destination of our soul, either by being killed in tribulation, dying along the way, or Rapture.. the soul is most important.

Amen! The bottom line isn't this life on earth. That is what has been gripping me more than anything. We were told the days would grow darker, but if we're true disciples of Christ, we won't shrink back in fear. We will remember He is with us and go with great boldness to proclaim the good news! How are we to bring the harvest in if we're cowering in fear hiding inside our homes? I felt truly convicted. Yes, I agree with you that we should have some put back for emergencies, but not years and years. True wisdom recognizes excess. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts 😊 God bless!
