Not sure if I mentioned this but dehydrate oyster mushrooms and save in vacuum seal bags then later when you have morels grind the dehydrated oysters into flour with a good blender and use that to coat the morels before frying. You won't believe what an excellent flavor it has.

Omg nice haul here in Michigan you’d get $40 + per pound you did well…also I like seeing you cutting some of them off at the stem rather than pulling them out of the ground I personally cut mine and the mesh bag great item for releasing spores…also the water I use to wash I dump that in my yard and you’d be surprised yes I get morels in my yard

I'm a MI morel forager too. Hit a motherload once leaving behind thousands yet carrying out a 55 gallon trash bag full up to my shoulders in one morning.

Bags saved orange shopping. Are also excellent for mushroom hunting. The mushroom spores and bugs can drop right out. Walking thru the forest. Even when they are not dried out, they will still drop out. Every little bit helps to regrow future mushrooms.

Chris he have a little hummingbirds dude seem to be good luck charms. They go for about $20 an ounce, dried. That’s the cheapest I can find. Taste better than the steak 🥩 itself

Awesome find. I used to hunt when I was younger, we lived on a farm in Missouri. Mostly found tan morels, some grays. I moved to Duluth, MN a 25 years ago and they are very hard to find, there. I recently moved back to Missouri and hoping to go hunting next spring, only I will have to get permission to hunt from land owners. They are a treat and exciting to find a great patch like the one you found. Thanks for sharing, I always enjoy your adventure videos. Really liked the video from New York, mining gold and gems from the sidewalks. Keep up the good work!

Holy smokes! When I lived up in Alaska, once there was a wildfire close to where we lived and when the time was right, a bunch of my coworkers called out to go hunting for them lolol. I went a few times myself. It’s ALWAYS so exciting!

I live in Oregon and I once went mushroom hunting with a friend. Unfortunately I dont remember what kind they were but he cooked them up afterwards for us and it was wondering. Wow, I just learned about this channel and the CO mushroom universe in general. This is so amazing I want to hunt sooooooooo bad just not sure where to get started. This general area is kinda where i was looking at to try hunting as well since its the only thing I could get out too. Oh so this was a couple weeks ago right. I'm having simular trouble finding lots of dried mushrooms hunting for Lobsters. Headed up mountain for porcini (king bolete) next week. I'm on Oregon coast. If we could get some rain I know some good Chantrelle patches here too. Thanks for sharing Shane.
