@@johan-apo yeah he is in top few % of most skilled CAS players, so its hard to replicate... but also if you would watch his uncut footage it is probably boring AF... he kills one guy and then dips for a few minutes flying away to 20km, and rinse and repeat. he cuts a 10min flying session into 3min average player like me just doesnt want to do that because we want action packed gameplay. he has a lot of self preservation and values his plane a lot, i take much more risks than him, but also die much more.

Anti-pantsir tips: Their radar can't look directly up, so if you get directly above the spawn and stay there you have free reign. Their missiles aren't maneuverable, so fly unpredictably and make weird moves to dodge them. Their missiles do not detonate properly if you are close to the ground, like below treetop level. TV guided munitions are nice because you can fire and maneuver, lasing a target should only be done if their radar can't find you (see first tip) Low level gun runs going mach 1.3+ at treetop level are surprisingly useful. Fly full speed towards their spawn and you'll see the pantsir there, as they almost never leave spawn.

Actually, the one thing that is terrifying about the pantsir is its ability to look near-straight upwards (yes there is a small margin you can float above), however its very hard to stay there, especially if there's more than one.

My favorite thing is to spawn the f16. Fly straight for 4 seconds while adjusting weapon selection and trying to get a view. Meanwhile, I had a pantsir fire a missle 3.5 seconds ago, and I see it while getting my view lined up. Dive out and away hard.... dead from spawn time in like 10 or 11 seconds. This is a fairly frequent occurrence

Though its possible I guess that that is because those capabilities came on a later block/variation of the airframe. If they do introduce the wild weasel armament though I guess that'll mean that Russia will get the SU34 as I think that is their only aircraft that covers the same role.

​@@CircusJeanie2399The F-16C in game is a Block 50. It's SEAD capable. HARMs are not going to help much against mobile AA systems. All they have to do defeat HARMs is turn off their radar and change position when one is launched. This is the sort of thing Mavericks are used for instead. To begin with, SEAD missions are not meant to be a solo affair, so as long as players have to fight without coordination with other aircraft this will always be a tricky thing in War Thunder.

@@majorborngusfluunduch8694 The HARMs would help though in the sense that it would force enemy Radar to go silent letting the F16 or another aircraft get the kill with a Maverick, or another warhead, without fear of retaliation, as any attempt to get a radar lock and missile launch would result in a HARM to the face. But yes team work and a wingman would make the mission easier. Another thing War Thunder could add to make the SEAD/DEAD mission easier is EW but I have no idea how that would work in game.

Fun fact: the F-16 used to have Gen 3 thermals which made it much more competitive against the Pantsir, but Gaijin in their wisdom nerfed it to "Gen 2" after a bug report almost immediately after release. In reality, they nerfed it to Gen 1, making it next to useless as a high-altitude bomber, then added a Russian Su-25 that can outrange every SPAA in the game with ease. They have acknowledged that the thermals on the F-16 are "bugged" and should be Gen 2, but it took them 6 months to do anything about and the fix is just now coming in the next update, instead of just reverting the change 6 months ago to make it fair. But sure, there's no Russian bias 😂

Shriek would be appropriate, it's an anti radiation missile built out of an aim7, so same in game models can be reused. And it's easily dodged by turning off the radar, introducing an element of fear using the radar.

You gotta try the Su-25SM3, it has 20KM launch range ATGMs that go Mach 2.2. Use the kh38mts if your looking for launch and forget or use the kh38ML’s you can launch them above 10000m and there 200 ish sp cheaper then the mts
