I see a lot of comments about these pirates, the ship's crew and the situation in itself. I live in the middle of the Indian Ocean and Somalia is about 2,500 miles from our shores. At the peak of piracy in the Indian Ocean our livelihood was seriously affected and we had on a few occasions our countryman, mostly fishermens, taken hostages by these same pirates. They were taken to Somalia and held there. Our government had to pay quite a bit of ransom to have them freed. These guys were serious.
