From "Odds & Sods", released I think in fall 1974. I've loved this song since first hearing it.

@@richbailey8174 Agreed, Beatles are the best band of all time. The Who is a close second. The Beatles’ impact and legacy will never be touched. Everything they ever did was as close to perfect as is possible. HOWEVER, I do think The Who created a lot of the best music of all time, including the single greatest work of music ever made. Quadrophenia. Pete Townshend is a modern day Beethoven/Mozart, Roger Daltrey had probably the most unique and powerful voice in rock history, Keith Moon was one of the top three best drummers of all time, and John Entwistle was the best bassist of all time. Quadrophenia is a true artistic masterpiece on par with any great classical composition. It will be dissected in universities for years to come.

@@richbailey8174 Also, because you have great taste, I’m very curious who the other band in your top 3 is? Please don’t say Led Zeppelin lol

@@allbottledup9513 I think Quadrophenia is a good album but not "the best music ever made"....I always thought of it as a Townshend solo album rather than a Who album....."all time" and "ever made" are terms I avoid myself...:)

Hope so. Not a bad cover.

I think Pete Meaden (whoever that is) got credit.

They bloody well should have done! Meaden owes Slim for this!

When exactly & how did the High Numbers go from such a linear style R&B band to The Who, explosive, rhytmically Who-esque. Keith on this track can’t be distinguished imo from any other drummers of the time.

Wow...Someone should have played this and Slim Harpos Got Love if You Want It during the plagiarism trial George Harrison endured for My Sweet Lord. This is a direct rip off!!
