“Accept the laziness...” So powerful because this way it doesn’t become such a heavy burden that is impossible to overcome. I just accept it and say “yep, feeling lazy again” and then move on with my day. Like water around a stone. Thank you wise teacher!

You just jump three times😂 made me laugh hard. I just get so amazed by his peaceful way of simplifying the teaching to make us understand how simple meditation actually is. An eye opener which makes us realize how we create our own 'problems' with examples like this

Forming a habit also helps. This way you don't have to overcome your laziness every single time. You just do what you always do. I meditate every day at the same time. Also I started with just a few minutes, I think 5. Even one or two minutes is enough for a start. Just form the habit and then you can meditate longer. With ongoing practice you will have more time for meditation because you will drop unnecessary things from your schedule. I meditate an hour per day by now and I'm less busy nonetheless.

So good! He brings it playfully, but each idea is worth it's weight in gold. Accepting laziness. Including laziness in your awareness. Isn't that great? These are the indications that can unblock one's practice. Interesting enough: the solution is always easy. Easy! The mind wants it to be complicated, laborious, difficult. Thank you Rinpoche!

Rinpoche has a childlike simplicity which perhaps is a result of his extensive practice in meditation. He doesn't have mental vices just like a child. Thuk jeche Rinpoche

We all have to become more like a child. A child is pure and has all the natural wisdom still in itself. As we grow older we lose the contact with the source in ourselfes and seek the answers for our problems in a wrong corner.

This is a great video describing different techniques to trick or "play with" your motivation in order to begin a meditation habit that you will stick to. I love the style of teaching Mingyur Rinpoche uses to explain with simplicity how to develop a great habit. One drop at a time into a big bucket and over time the large bucket has a large puddle of water.

I enjoy meditating, and I like the Buddhism philosophy and would like to look further into it...but I have a problem with compassion part of it when I see mass immigration of Muslims into my country...I would like some advise on how to handle my ill feelings towards these people, and their religion.
@alinab.10766 жыл бұрын
Paul R “Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone, just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.”
@budte6 жыл бұрын
I try to dislike the beliefs and not apply them as defining the person. A muslim theoretically could become an atheist and vice-versa. So it is beliefs I sometimes condemn, but realise the person is fluid, capable of change. The person is the hardware and has been programmed with beliefs. The problem is the software. I can feel pity as I do when I see my own ignorance, which is ongoing. I walk down the street often hating people for some reason. I don't fight it, only laugh and shake my head at myself. Mindfulness made me aware that I was doing this. I never even realised before.

Rinpochela Chapsuchoe _/\_. I try to meditate during my daily activities, contemplate on impermanence in whatever I do or whoever I meet and my emotions. I feel like my mood is always quite down while doing so la. I am not sure whether it's because I am only a beginner or I will get used to it at some point. I would be really grateful if your holiness could tell me what I am going through la or if that feeling is normal while trying to be aware in everything. _/\_
