That bank that looks like a house WAS a Civil War era home until the owner died some years ago. It was named The Cedars, but over the decades many of them died. There was a huge auction of the contents, which was written up in many newspapers across the state, but the only thing I remember getting was some inside photos of the place with my trusty camera. There was a refrigerator-sized cardboard box filled to the brim with all kinds of documents, and probably other stuff, but the bidding went far out of my reach. I think someone got numerous books, which my husband and I later bought. Using one of my outside photos, I painted the house from just inside the front gate.
