I actually had a really similar experience after reading East of Eden. I’d recommend The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. Incredible book written by a young female author way ahead of her time. Also Flannery O’Connor has amazing short story collections, specifically A Good Man is Hard to Find. Also Lolita, which is… controversial to say the least but my god his writing is beautiful. 💚

I dealt with a similar skin issue a few years back. I started drinking herbal infusions made with nettle, hibiscus, and raspberry leaf. I have also heard to wash that area of your face with dandruff shampoo 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had perioral dermatitis after using a steroid cream on my face lol. I stopped using the cream immediately. What cleared it up for me was applying a thick layer of the avene cicalfate cream before bed. It looks crazy but it went away in 2 weeks
