I've seen that look in my own eyes, when somebody is deeply deeply depressed, and carrying a lot of pain, especially when those emotional wounds are attached to spiritual abuse. I know next to nothing about Billy except what I've learnt in the last week, but I do hear that the Bible was used as a weapon by his father when he was a child. As somebody who experienced a similar thing, I can understand why he doesn't like the Bible very much. It seems to me the path he's gone down is an attempt to separate out God from the abuse he suffered. Pray that the Holy Spirit can gently comfort his soul until he can see God as he really is.

I was in the alien believing community for many years before getting saved back in 2020, and all I can say is that Billy Carson was always seen as a joke even in that community by the vast majority of people who attended those gatherings/conferences. When he came up to speak people would largely go outside and talk, smoke, or play hacky sack rather than listen to him. Same was true for a couple of others who often spoke at those conferences, but it was especially notable with him how empty the seats would be while he spoke. So even within the deluded community he tries to gain his following in, he’s still seen as a nutcase 😂
