Yeah just because it's in high demand doesn't mean there'll never be another chance. These speciality sets always get a ton of restocks. Granted, the restocks probably won't last long but I think it's better to take that chance over paying $100+.

@@monkey39128No not this set LGS are not getting the same high quantity, inventory is going to be scarce, English set doesn’t have a lot of reprints compared to Japanese cards. Due too many English sets are coming to 2025 we may not see a reprint on this set.

Day one you won't find it on a shelf. For sure a few months down the road. If you think you can walk into any store without someone already waiting for the stocker.... it won't make it to the shelf. It'll be scooped off the pallets.

just fyi, target will most likely do a second wave of pre orders on everything besides the ETBs. Idk if you remember when Target did there first pre orders at like 12 am pst and everyone was asleep and everything was available to pre order besides ETBs. Yea that night most likely is gonna happen within a week or two. just be prepared this month.

Its not the same people exactly, but yes the same type of people. NgL I made a mistake buying SF at fomo prices back in 2021... And while this will be a better set, I learned my lesson that this will get printed and pricea will pull back.

It will come back down to earth but with Rocket, Trainer set and Mega Evolutions coming it could run for a while yet. I'm guessing it'll end in the same way it did at the end of SWSH. We'll go through a mad run and then things will come to an abrupt stop at the start of the next generation. Then we'll go through another $90 a box period and the cycle (hopefully) continues. Obviously a lot depends on the economies in America, Britain, Japan, the EU etc. If we enter the huge recession we've been kicking down the road since 2008 then everything changes. More likely the government just fires up the old money printer and puts it off for another 15 years.

I can see regular ETBs being around $70 throughout the year and it'll be just a game of can you find them at MSRP if not then they're going to be slightly more online (but a loss for these sellers at this price after fees/shipping). For PC ETBs I can't see these losing value short term or long term, they're the most hyped ETB we have ever seen.

You are not wrong, I mean you don't have to go back as far as vivid voltage, Silver Tempest (which is a great set) at the beginning was THE SET that you had to invest in! The Pokémon company will re-print everything to the ground.

It's not a normal ETB box it's a special set so no booster boxes, which is different from surging sparks. Also I never bought surging sparks, also a lot of my friends didn't, everyone I know is buying prismatic. So agree it's gone ridiculous, but to me very different from surging sparks.

Was looking at the current market in the US for Prismatic and comparing it to the one here in Australia. The US market is insanely next level for this set. We still have some product that can be preordered here but it is drying up. Absolutely insane when I look at the current prices on eBay US. Getting in at MSRP is the play. I wouldn’t recommend the insanity right now. Move onto something else

glad i was able to get a PC etb off pokemon center when they first went up. interested to see the market for those a few months after release. some crazy prices going for those already. planning on holding long term though but if it goes over 500 at any point (which i doubt it will) i would realistically sell and invest into multiple cheaper boxes like paradox or sv base. market is nuts right now

PC ETBs are inching towards $200 a box. I have actually bought more PC ETBs from ebay at $120-$150 despite having Pokemon Center ETB Pre-orders. I'm banking on the PC ETBs just being hype the whole time. For regular ETBs these will probably hover around $70 at launch, so a L or even trade if you sell online after fees/shipping at this price.

Definitely not. Evolving sky is the set to beat and while prismatic evolutions looks quite good there's zero chance it comes close to evolving skies. That set is $4,000 for a master set. Id be surprised if prismatic evolutions hits $2,000 even a year after release.

disagree you're not thinking you haven't mentioned anything about how big box like target/bestbuy/and gamestop all soldout on preorders at retail within a few hours or few days) if big box doesn't even have enough supply on preorders you think this will be readily available? these boxes will double easily even the normal etbs will start pushing $200+ long term these prices at preorders is the easiest play you can make short term these will spike too you can't lose buying now.
