Advice I’d like to give to new sellers on eBay is to set set up your account that if a buyer is the cause of 2 cancelled orders in a 6 months period they can not buy from you. You can set this up in the policies. I think that has helped me a lot.

I sell a lot of automotive higher end modules and headlights etc. And I had a rash of returns on parts I knew were working(tested put pic of it working) and still got some return request. So I bought uv ink a stamp with my logo and pens and write all over it. Put a pic of it in ad and explained that I’d rather not deal with a scam and has cut it down to none as of today.

I had someone request a return on a camera that I didn't have a charger or battery for that was listed AS-IS for Parts Not working, Untested, Functionality unknown in title, description and category.....and they eventually put in a return request saying the screen had some bad pixels. ..... Ebay said I had to accept return despite this and having no returns. So far 10 days after accepting the return, they still have not sent it back. Ebay doesn't protect sellers at all.

Always take photos of serial numbers. I also buy void warranty stickers and state clearly in my listing that “IF VOID WARRANTY STICKER IS REMOVED, NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED” I also state in every one of my listings that all serial numbers and markings have been documented in case of returns. Yes this acts as a deterrent for potential scammers and it works for the most part. I also have a pretty good feel for when someone’s trying to scam me and if I’m 85-90% sure I’ll call them out on it.

Honestly, I watch if I'm lucky one video a month but, remain subscribed to help you out simply because you are real, likable and appreciated. I'm purchasing a book, a Bible from ebay this week and I'm apprehensive. Well, the item photographed be the one received? I'm adamant regarding odors including cigarette smoke (allergic) as a buyer can you trust no smoke? The risk is a two way street I order very little from eBay and Amazon. An established seller you can trust is wonderful. If someone has one negative review I won't purchase. I've read some scary reviews from buyers this week. Take care. Best

many times when I get multiple questions on one item from the seller, I know that is someone that is not going to be happy with the item. You just get that feeling from their questions or how they word stuff. most of the time I block that person from buying (this happens only about once or twice a year)

eBay Standard Envelope: now that they’ve expanded the item types that can be shipped in them, can you show and tell about how they work, where you get them, cost, what the label looks like and any issues you’ve had if something goes wrong. For instance: what happens if they fail to arrive or a return is opened. Thanks!

Right on their website in big letters was Do Not buy from Amazon!! They are all Fake! You will never see your money or it is an inferior product. Funny thing the ones on Amazon's review were full of horrible reviews and they were 50-75 dollars more, We bought from the Website. Should come in next week.. Hopefully I bought the right one!!!

I'd love to share a digital panhandling situation online that I got sucked into and it's crazy how elaborate it is. It's new and I've never seen it. You all have a voice and they could be stopped before they skip town. I'm Dana and would love to share what they are doing. Ultimately as resellers we will absorb the costs of eBay having to return the money to the victims. They are over 7000 dollars eBay will have to return at this very moment!!!

Years ago I took a few continuous video showing early INAD returned packages being opened, to show what was in the box, right up to showing the serial number, for disputed returns. This was back when bad buyers where returning bricks or their old faulty units. eBay simply didn’t care enough to receive or view the videos, so I stopped bothering. Rarely could a seller prove a buyer was (and still may be) abusing the return system, using any manner, short of a buyer admitting it in a message. But I do engage in deterrent actions these days, like showing serial numbers, adhesive seals, etc, but again all you can really do is make yourself less of a target so that type of buyer tries the scam on someone else.

Scammers are a lot more common when you have a new eBay store. Not that they don’t happen when you have more feedback but it’s not super common anymore. Of the online platforms I actually think eBay is the best overall when it comes to scammers

I think their most interesting model was their line of closed-cab farm tractors introduced in 1938. Marketed as the UDLX, it had enclosed bodywork and an all-weather cabin, which contained a passenger seat, so the framer and the Mrs could ride in comfort. They were painted a bright "Prairie-Gold" color. It was so deluxe that the bumper and hubcabs were chromed. It came with features that put it far ahead of the competition, such as windshield wipers, electric starter, speedometer, clock, sun visor, rear view mirror and had some tractor firsts, including a heater, cigarette lighter, ashtray and radio. If you had one of these, your farm was paying off. Find toys of this model toy and you’ve got something very special. If you get the chance google: Minneapolis Moline UDLX.

Lonnie & Candace, I recently had the post office return an Ebay Standard Envelope with Postage Due because of the top loader on the card not being able to go through their scanners. I looked at the Ebay message board & apparently this is becoming more common. Buyer left me negative feedback as it took almost a month to get to him (since USPS sent it back to me postage due of $4.74) & $4 card was not protected with a top loader. Ebay states in their standard envelope information that a top loader can be used & have not had any issues until now. Any suggestions on shipping cards with this possibility of a return?

An iphone was the first item I sold on eBay. Sold for parts as it couldnt be activated. Lady that bought it forced the return because she was on the phone for hours with Apple and couldnt get it to activate. and opened a not as described case. Ebay sided with her even though I had a strong case in my favor based on seller protection. Luckily the lady shipped it back to me on her own. Sold it again and managed to break even on it in the end.

Poster Pack: Now that you have 24" rolls of brown paper, here's a suggestion for protecting and shipping posters. I cut off about 12" of paper from the 24" wide roll, so I have a 12 x 24 piece of paper. As I roll up the poster, centered on the 24" side, I slide a couple inches inside the last wrap and keep rolling so the paper goes completely around the poster. Then I tuck the excess length inside the hollow roll (a few inches of brown paper inside each end), completely covering the poster in brown paper. Tucking in the ends really stiffens and protects the poster. I can then use tape on the brown paper, rather then using rubber bands or taping directly on the poster. You get a nice clean look, ready to go into your shipping tube or triangular box for shipping. 😉🙃😊

I have a question. Do you two ever argue or get into arguments off-camera about eBay things. Not about personal or private matters but specifically eBay. If so what are the arguments about? It is hard to imagine you do, but I think it is almost impossible not to, about certain things at times. Would be cool if you answered this in a future video ... :)

Crime Fighting Butler concept is reminiscent of Bruce Lee’s Role as a valet in the 1966 version of the The Green Hornet. There was only a single season of the ABC’s television series (and you guys are probably too young to remember it), but it set the stage for crime fighting assistants, butlers, chauffeurs and valets. Laura Croft Tomb Raider was another storyline using the idea, as was the Kati Fong character (a man servant) who’d keep his employer sharp by jumping out to test him at odd times in the Pink Panther.

Handheld video game consoles are prime for "renting." People will buy them and go on vacation then when they come back they open a claim stating that the item is "not as described" and if you offer free returns they know you are paying for the shipping back.
@williampeterson44169 ай бұрын
If they return INAD it doesn’t matter whether you have free returns or not they are not going to be paying for return shipping, the seller will or eBay will eat it themselves.
