Hey Zlewikk, if you get the trust of your subjects above 50 it will scale down their liberty desire even more. At 100 trust with your subject you get like -20% liberty desire or even more. Not sure about the numbers but it is a pretty noce mechanic especially now that you can get more than 5 trust per click.

Zlewikk, there is a "bug" with the ottoman pashas, they accidentally used global state maintenance reduction instead of local state maintenance reduction. So promoting 3 states to pasha's gives you -100% global state maintenance. Can you report this to devs so they hotfix this sooner than later. Otherwise awesome campaign!

27:50 that events also comes with hidden effects on each option (I assume those are what the devs meant with the extra tooltips, still bad design imo): the first option besides the 2 stab has a chance to either spawn pretender rebels or getting a modifier giving -10% stab cost and 5% nobility loyalty (chance of each result scales with ruler mil, going from 90/10 for a 5 mil to 50/50 for a 0 mil) the second option has 5 possible results with a 20% chance each: -1 stab (what you got there) -20 legitimacy (so -50 total) and -20 prestige -20 loyalty to all estates rebellious line modifier until current ruler dies, giving 2 unrest and -5% loyalty to all estates sabotaged administration modifier until current ruler dies, giving 10% liberty desire in vassals, 25% advisor costs and -50% spy detection chance The first option also sets an heir flag called tur_purged_line_flag, which prevents this event from firing, the second one does not, meaning this event will continue firing with it's 60 mtth until you purge the succession

​@@ZlewikkTV Ah yes, I took Jerusalem (Kudus) from the Eyalet-i Misir for the monument, and it took like a century for their liberty desire to go away. 😂 Had me worried for a while because Hungary and Poland both supported their independence. However I eventually Misr anyway, and Tunis too. The only great projects my vassals have that I wasn't able to get are Ait Benhaddou (vassalized Morocco as a normal Eyalet, I stupidly forgot to get the province with Ait Benhaddou first, and now Morocco is too developed to turn into a Core Eyalet.) And Doge's Palace, since after conquering north Italy I created the Eyalet of Venedik.

The European coalition was forming in the beginning because the the old coalition dissolving bug when you load your earlier save game :) So it was dissolved for no reason, and due to still high AE was formed again.

It's not a bug, game just recalculates coalitions in a few specific scenarios, including loading a save (not earlier save)

My 1.35 Ottomans game is coming to a close, and I'm not an expert like Zlewikk, but I think I did alright. I was able to complete most of the new mission tree, except for dismantling the HRE (but between me and France, the HRE is in sad shape), the missions of trading in India and controlling the spice trade, and the final one, Pax Ottomana, which requires the above plus "Unify Islam" (I have all the necessary cities for Unify Islam except Thatta in India, I allied the Indian states instead of expanding into India).

I don't know if it's intended but if you lose a battle while your commander is ruler you get instantly 100 decadence it's not writing but I get 2-3 times instantly 100 because of this mechanic(ruler was kanun-i)

Zlewikk, i have a point/question about trade companies. Isn't it actually better to add singular provinces instead of full states? For example you have 3 states which you are not planning to turn into full states and let's say there's a center of trade in each one. Adding three provinces to company gives something around 60 tp to each if they are level two centres of trade, and adding a full state gives something around 16-18 ( including +4 tp from investment) to each regular province in it, which is not a big amount compared to first ones. They also will not get somewhat 50-60 percent goods produced modifier which in this case turns into less trade value in the node. For the trade value as well for to additional merchant it is always better to find another centre of trade than to add full states, it might not seem crucial but if scaled it can save up a decent amount of gov cap and ducats, what do you think?

Not sure whether it's worth the gov points/time/building slots or not, but it's worth noting that since the trade company investment gives flat trade power, you can multiply that power by adding trade power buildings. I tend to find that being able to squeeze more trade power out of fewer trade company provinces is a better investment, though given I'm a vastly less experienced player, I'm curious to see if there's something I missed in the tradeoffs!

I think the decadence mechanic was made to make sure that the Ottomans face it in the mid to late game. First, few people actually play into the age of absolutism; second, a player going that far with the Ottomans will have some challenge , while if you play someone else it's nice to have a way for the Ottomans to get weaker in the late game, otherwise you would have to fight multiple wars against a massive nation with more than half a million men, and even if your troops are far better by that point it's still annoying.

Why do you not fully annex, and abuse the trade companie mechanic for the african and asian parts of the map? Vassals are new and fancy, but the 20-30 years less coring cost (egypt event), together with ottoman idea, and adm idea group, are 30 years max speed expansion. And trade companies hold the rebels down.
