I’m not sure why you’re all hating 😭 he’s not wrong about how anyone can get started. Sure he has a following and is promoting his brand throughout the video.. what else do you expect ? Did he start off 5+ years ago with all these followers ? No he built it from the ground up which he mentions in the video 😭 I started selling 2 months ago and have watched all the videos on this channel and have learned a lot of information. Thanks

I really appreciate giving out the secrets of the trade. I am a business student and I am trying to make enough money selling cards to fund the hobby, not yet to make a profit. I think it's great how you do an in-depth analysis of how you got to where you are now. I had no clue about wholesalers.

1 million of sales or 1 million in profit? 1 millions in sales is pretty easy EDIT: ok at 8 mins in you say 1 million in sales so I guess I got my answer.
@9BallBoryАй бұрын
1 million in sales is far from easy lol. Or anyone would do it. Say you turn a 10% profit at 1 million sales you’re making 100,000 a year. If it’s easy anyone could be rich.
@Noname-eg6xmАй бұрын
Anytime you said “I made 3 million this year”. It’s only dudes that make 2%-10% and working 80hrs a week to make 80k off those millions ain’t worth it.
@le_medАй бұрын
@@9BallBory Yep...google how many millionaires exist in the US (hint: it is more than you think) and I should know :)
@lucaslopez8986Ай бұрын
How did you make a million in sales?
@omarasrih3489Ай бұрын
@@Noname-eg6xmit’s flipping your money, you don’t need to pocket the 80k make 1 million that year and the next year make 2 million pocket 500k and the next year you got 1.5mill to make 3 million. Just cause your profit at the end of year is “100k (10%)” doesn’t mean you leave with only 100k. at the end of the year your still made 1 million and you have 1 million to flip yo even more money
@ceezymuccheezАй бұрын
I think its a bit shitty that you frame this as anyone can get into this and give it a go and have multiple affiliate links in the description to "help" people get started when you know that the reason your business was a guarentee sucess was due to your giant youtube following you built up. Im not saying that no one can do it but youre making it look a lot easier than it is which is potentially very risky and dangerous for people financially. As alwyas with this kind of thing is selling it and advertising is the hardest part and you had a very clear giant advantage. To me this video and this entire channel just comes across as a big advert and it another way for your company to make money off people trying to get into the space rather than genuine advice. edit: Didn’t mean for this to come across as mean or hating. Was probably a bit cranky when I wrote this. Just a little transparency would be mega :)
@clownworld8328Ай бұрын
It is just an advert. Click bait title of making 1M but its not profit. Why don't they ever disclose how much profit they actually make? 🤔🤔
@BrandonMartynАй бұрын
Most people in this space built up without a large following. I’ll be doing interviews with those friends of mine soon too to give that perspective as well! When you say not giving actual advice.. what advice would you want me to give?
@ceezymuccheezАй бұрын
@@BrandonMartyn That would be a super cool perspective as I feel that would be more the experience your viewers watching and trying this out would have vs starting out with a large following :) Maybe not advice but maybe a little more transparency and awarness of the dangers of this is mainly what comes to mind.

Brandon, would be interesting to do an experiment of creating a new whatnot and having one of your employees stream for an hour a day. No promoting it on any of your channels. I would be curious to see what the analytics would be.

I no longer stream! Definitely thinking about doing like a “starting an undercover shop from scratch” project in the future
@NinetalesofNostalgiaАй бұрын
@BrandonMartyn that would actually be awesome, and really informative content for us all I think. As long as it was faceless, and with a new member unknown to be fully undercover that to me would be magic, if it too could turn around from selling only singles and have those sales tracked, and only venturing into more premium stuff I.e. booster boxes etc once the channel generated enough revenue to do so. It would truly need to be a slow starter, with little to know foundational promo work to give an accurate depiction of a newbie starting out I guess haha anyway just a couple cents worth!
