Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This KZbin channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.
If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

Honestly Rick. It is enjoyable to watch. Not the bad golf part. But the fact that a crappy high teens handicapper like me does the same thing that the guy I watch to get tips from. Just like me, you get frustrated, you get rush(y) with your swings, you make odd decisions trying to make up for your bad ones, and last you play golf like a human being. I have learned one thing and well pretty much one thing only this year (picking golf back up in my mid 30's with a slew of injuries and issues). Sometimes mid round, you just have to stop take a couple breaths, stretch a few muscles and take your swing back to the basics with a very slow back swing. Not to mention the 80 tips I'm still trying to get down that I've gathered from your videos. Watching this type of video has done nothing but up my respect factor for you. Can't wait to watch the rest of the series!

Rick, this is such a service to new golfers like me. I started playing a year ago, and my goal was to break 90 by now. Even though I'm consistently in the 90's it FEELS like I've regressed and gotten worse, so I know EXACTLY how you felt on EVERY shot of this round. So 3 takeaways for me: (1) you may have been boiling inside, but your outward expression was quite good for being so far off your best (2) if I scored +12 I'd be happy as a puppy with two peters, so it's all down to perspective and (3) you didn't bail on that round (as I tend to do as soon as I have a bad hole) which is (a) a waste of a round for myself and (b) ruins it for anyone playing with me. When I think of the rounds I've wasted doing the OPPOSITE of what you've done here, I want to give up the game...but seeing how you went about it here, from this day forth, I can turn it around, follow your example and never waste another round again. Thank you!

I've just found golf again after years. I'm trying to break 100. It's winter here, so all driving range, but it is so useful to see where the wheels come off and the thought processes. The number of times I've been feeling great after 4 (all bogeys) and then I start ratcheting the pressure and get right out of my head because of a simple mistake. Thanks @Rick. - so useful to see. Rick, just wanted to let you know. I’ve been struggling with this a lot too and when you go back you open the face wide open almost and if your hands don’t flip in the most perfect way at the bottom, then there will be very inconsistent results. Especially in tournament or stressful conditions, flipping is not as a reliable way to swing than rotating and keeping the face square

I never really comment on videos, but over the last 2 years I've been watching your videos, you have made the game of golf way more enjoyable and less frustrating. I went from shooting just over 100 down to low 80s in a year all thanks to your videos, if anyone hasn't yet they should watch and listen to what you have to say. Bad shot or good shot you know how to laugh ot off and has taught me to just laugh it off aswell, thanks a bunch Rick!

I don’t generally comment on videos so here goes… appreciated watching the “real” round as it would be easy to edit out the “not so good” shots and only leave the great ones. It just re-emphasises that we’ll all have good and bad days on the course and we should be grateful that we actually get to play this wonderful, yet frustrating, game.

"Rick how many did you get on that hole?" "I shot a 9." "I'm putting you down for a 6." We all need friends like this.

Rick, I’ve been watching you for years now, and the content just keeps getting better and better. You are always so transparent and that’s what I love about your channel. To me, you and guga foods (cooking channel) pump out the best content on KZbin. Much respect from California. Would love to see you come play a course in San Diego.. maybe Torrey Pines?? 🧐

Love this video! It is why Rick is the best KZbin golfer out there. He post everything and is honest. Other KZbinrs throw out the bad shots and retake it. Thanks Rick for the honesty.

I love seeing the reality of golf even for a fantastic golfer like you Rick. We all have bad days on the course and next time it happens to me I’ll remember we all go through it. Keep up the great vids 👍 until next time.

Thanks for sharing Rick. Class act. I found myself last week lined up for an 8 foot Eagle putt. Slight pull left, which I am ok with. Then rushed my 1.5 footer for Birdie and missed. Heart breaking....The game of golf. She giveith, and she takeith away. Keep the videos coming. Love em!

Thanks Rick for this video, this is very relatable to all golfers good and bad. It's nice to know that even the best players in the world have rounds that even despite playing some good shots lead to bad situations. Which inturn leads to bad shots. Probably one of my favorite videos from you.

I love how you show that everyone has a bad day. I just played my first varsity tournament today and played the worst golf that I’ve ever played. I was really disappointed because I had played some of the best gold of my life in the rounds right before today. And then I completely lost it. Thank you for showing that it’s not just me and for being a positive person even when you don’t play how you want!

Hi Guy and Rick! I had a round eerily similar to this earlier this year, with back to back shanks out of nowhere on a par 3. I managed to beat you by carding and 8. 😂 What a game! Thanks for all the content you guys bring, wildly entertaining and relatable. Simply class!

Great video Rick loving your honesty I often do 9 on a par 3 but I'm learning from your videos about frame of mind, attitude, & getting slightly better. I've not been yet this year as I'm getting over covid which has left me short on energy🙂⛳

Absolutely great content! It resonates with me so much. When you going to golf course and trying to have a good time, and stuff happened. I once smashed my driver because I cannot hit a good drive. I guess better eq translates to better golfer😢

Dear Rick, Just wanted to say THANKS for showing this. Social media these days is so polished and people need to be better at sharing when shits happens and that is what you do! Not everyone comes to see 300+ yard drives in to perfect positions all the time, golf is a process, and Break75 shows this very clearly! Respect!
