I would like to start a prayer chain for Brandon, Stephanie, and the rest of the Eddy Family. They had to make one of the hardest decisions anyone has ever had to make. Their new mother LGD, Dixie got seriously injured and may have to be put to sleep. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.

Blue Mickey sure has filled out nice and more to come! Is it just the camera angles or does Nugget have just a wee bit of a dished nose? She is getting really pretty. I watch a really nice channel with a super young lady and her husband called Free Spirit Equestrian. They have their own place, nice barn, indoor arena and several paddocks and pastures. She has several different kinds of horses, and of late after she acquired a draft cross mare at auction that she just liked the look of, she got an extra surprise a few months later when her mare was found to be pregnant. She had no back story on the mare so she had DNA tests done to determine what her mix was, and now that the foal is about 6 mos, she is so big that she is having another DNA on the foal to see what background was in the sire . Both are beautiful horses, the mare simply floats in her gaits I would not have expected that from a combination of draft crosses. She was most likely just kept to produce a few foals, she has been ridden some but needs a lot more riding, she is not that old so maybe before she went to auction and if the owner had known she was pregnant at that time, she probably would have went for more. Most recently they acquired an absolutely STUNNING Gypsy Vanner cross , a private sale, that you have to just go to the site to get eyeballs on him! He looks like he just galloped in from a fantasy movie. He has many colors, body mostly buckskin, mane, tail, forelock mostly black and wow are they long and beautiful, his legs are feathered I think with white and black he has white blaze and is just a stunning horse. He was a stud up until a few months ago, she was told he had not bred any mares so when he was gelded just before she took ownership by the time she starting introducing him to her geldings a mares, he acted somewhat studly but not to bad. He is only seven years old. He however has taken over the place of her appy gelding that she has had for 15 years as the head of the herd. He was with a professional trainer before she bought him and has done quite a bit of liberty work as well and even a few tricks. He is something! Do yourself a favor and if and when you have time check out Free Spirit Equestrian and check him out. Also, she is so good at educating her viewers on everything, but watching you with the cockle burrs from time to time, and now with Blue Mickey, she has some really good advice on products she has used on all her horses manes and tails etc, and especially because she has TWO Vanners, one is pure Vanner and the big guy she just bought is Clydesdale, Vanner and something else. Their manes and tails are gorgeous and shiny and stuff doesn't get stuck as bad because of the products she uses all the time. Just saying, you might add some of those products to your channel's wish list. I know you can't spend tons on that kind of stuff as you don't show and all, but it is nice to have your registered horses look as good as possible I would think.

I really liked Maureen's photos. They were very artistic. I think Blue Mickey is beautiful. It's amazing that you put the saddle on for the first time and she didn't react much at all other than the first time when you dropped the saddle a little bit. Blue Roans are my favorite horses followed by buckskins. I'm looking forward to seeing what Blue Mickey looks like when she sheds her winter coat.

From someone who has spent time in front of a disc, first pass go with the furrows. Second pass, go at an angle 30°~45°. Going with the furrowed will keep your discs even. Going over them lifts and drops the disc, causing uneven working. Going back at a 45 will even out of the soil. JMO

What does proud cut mean? MB is beautiful. I loved that saddle on her makes her color pop!
@tillenavick899311 ай бұрын
Proud cut is when a stallion is gelded, and he thinks he's still a stallion due to an error in the cutting of testicular tissue or undescended testicle. This is why gelding by a vet is the best, however, some states allow owners to geld.

I try to catch all your KZbin’s, love your horses especially Mikkie the blue roan. You have horses with such good dispositions, makes it so much easier to work with and train. I drive Interstate 40 numerous times and always trying to figure out where you are located from town, last time I was by I thought I saw the pasture on south side of freeway where horses were. I was raised on a cattle ranch in Montana, so was raised on a horse from age of 2 1/2 years old. Always on a horse and working cattle or riding checking on cows. Have had some really good cowhorses , each were also best friend!!!! Would enjoy seeing your horses sometime.

Abdominal surgery. Its more involved on the second go-round. Only proud cut gelding i ever dealt with was used as a teaser on a breeding farm. He had a purpose so we left him as is.

Cash is only mildly interested in Micky. It’s not unusual for a newly gelded male to still have some Stallion thoughts. But a good idea to keep them apart even if he’s not fertile. I know you wouldn’t want him mounting her.

Do you know that peacocks should be on a very high protein diet They need fish pellets and the protein dog food you can get.I learned this from Roy's bird farm in Phoenix and told this by Bernard Roy himself.May he rest in peace.

Scratch on her whither I probably didn't spell that right, that's where we used to scratch r horses. U know when two horses get together and scratch each others whithers that's the same thing where I'm telling u to scratch and being since ur doing it, she probably will give u the horse laugh that's what we called it, I hope u have good luck with it, if u can please tell me if it works r not, u might have to try different spots to find what works for her but somewhere around that area PEACE AND LOVE ALWAYS DIANA BAN

She’s a lovely filly and way too young to be carrying much weight at all. Who’s going to get on her poor little undeveloped back?
@annehemmer515311 ай бұрын
It won’t help her as she ages either. Wonderful person, such goodness but don’t understand why do the riding part too early? Maybe not understanding bone growth and excess weight and the consequences, need more content in their biology classes? I very much like all his other wisdom and goodness, so good to hear.

The more you do with a young horse I believe the better it is for them to learn to be useful. Now backing at a young age is a big no no to me. Depending on the horse & how they develop - 2 to 3 years old is ok for very light riding. You want the growth plate to sealed. (I know I’m not using the right words.)
