Anyway imagine this game coming back on modern consoles with an even more convoluted controller to simulate how tech changed and advanced since it originally released.

Yeah, the 2600 had a lot of garbage games. At times you learned to like them. I still think math Grand Prix is a fun game.

Ok I know red is your color, but making the bottom of the thumbnail all red means I can't see the "watched" bar and I keep thinking I haven't watched this video yet but I have. 😂 Could you consider making sure the entire bottom of the thumbnail isn't just the red background? Most of your videos are fine, like the TI Doom one I can see the red bar where the calculator is, but this video in particular is just near impossibke to see that red line. Just a suggestion. Love the vids, really enjoy this channel!

Never gonna come to term with that. Found one in Texas on eBay. 13Games, power supply, foam lense. Returned it because the display weren't working. properly... A couple years later, i messaged the seller back. He still had it. I offered him to take it back "AS IS" and i got the display solder fixed... Solder Fix complete Virtual Boy with 13games of which WaterWorld, Wario Land, Teleroboxer, Red Alarm, yada yada yada... Had to sell it between two jobs... I sold it for the price a non-working unit sell today...

At the age of 20 I watched the TV show every afternoon after work. Took a nap during every single episode though, so I don't know a lot of pokemon 😅 Watching James open booster packs has the same calming effect on me. Almost like watching a lava lamp. Awesome 👍

I actually enjoyed this game as a kid, even though I didn't like real bowling. The thing people need to understand that weren't around for this era of gaming is we never expected the game to look like the cover. To me and my friends, the cover was just portraying the fantasy in our minds that the game is trying to inspire. Everyone knew what their 2600 or Intellivision was and wasn't capable of. Similar deal as the cover of a book, or how action figures are always shown animated doing something cool, even though they are really just stiff pieces of plastic. The real action scenes were happening in our minds. Now we all have super computers sitting on our desks, so not much use for imaginations anymore.

I have the exact same. Bought it in 2005 too, or 2006 at the latest from a local retro game shop. Only found out later that it was counterfeit. 1:06 Mine has a sticker with the name and address of the importer in that spot. A requirement in order to sell these goods in Europe and get them through customs (they'd get shipped back to China or destroyed otherwise). Never saw the typos until now haha. 1:56 The adapter that came with mine is identical except that it has a switch at the top for 110V and 220V (essential for use in Europe the latter). I guess they made some specifically to be sold in Europe, even though the shape of the connector is different from what we use so you still have to convert the connector style. And the cable started breaking after a few uses on mine too. Something not mentioned in the video that makes all the difference for me: The original SNES Jr doesn't support RGB video, the fake one does, so you could play your 50Hz game in colour without the PAL components with the right cable! The way RGB is wired in it is incompatible with the SNES RGB cable though, but it works with a Gamecube SCART cable.
