Absolutely stunning Dave. Adding your sashiko was a stroke of genius, but then all of your quilts are pure genius. I love seeing the way your mind works out what to do. Kudos

Dave, what a masterpiece! I am ssssooo glad you didn't use the blue binding. What an awe-inspiring piece of work. Your sashiko really sets it off! You are amazing!!

Of course you just had some gorgeous sashiko hanging around, and of course you generously added it in to the quilt. It is perfect, and I’m with the crowd that thinks the kimono fabric was absolutely the right choice for the binding. This quilt really honors the fabric. One of your best!
@imogenethomas1138Ай бұрын
I love it! So glad you went with purple binding. That’s a great fabric.
@theaofthemountains5922Ай бұрын
Stunning! Simple yet bold. Adding the sashiko was a happy turn of events. Using the remaining floral fabric as the binding, was the perfect finish and way to use up the fabric, it all blends so perfectly. I hope your friend really enjoys the quilt. All my best Dave.

So glad you were able to make the binding out of the floral fabric. it was a the perfect frame. Your friend is a very lucky person. The quilt is stunning.
@c0ldlight1Ай бұрын
I love those together! The kimono fabric and sashiko blend like they were meant to be. I like the long strips of strips- and the fact that you had enough of the purple kimono left to do the binding. Lovely!!!
@adriennetaylor9790Ай бұрын
Just love the Sashiko and Kimonos. The simple design really sets off the fabric choices. And the addition of your sashiko blocks just adds that personal touch. 🎉

This quilt is without a doubt, my favorite one that I have seen you do. It is classy and unique. I love the sashiko you added in. It just sets off the entire design. Thank you for NOT using the blue binding. You must have heard me SCREAMING NO.

I've been looking for a quilt pattern/ideas for my son's apple blossom quilt for at least two years. I found it! Finally. He wants an oriental quilt and wanted me to hand make the blossoms. Very time consuming, and I actually found suitable fabric. Thank you so very much for making this quilt and video!

I love that you are using Sashiko in your latest quilt. My DIL is Japanese, and I have 2 beautiful granddaughters, whom I'm planning on making quilts for with a Sashiko piece as well as other Japanese prints. I am literally just learning to do Sashiko now, so how awesome that you have shared your creativity at exactly the right time. My husband and I love watching your videos together, and it's been so great to watch your channel grow. Cheers 💓
