I can understand your need for perfection. But as you work in the area you have created, you will forget about any mistakes you made in building it. And it seems the Lord was looking out for your "mistakes," with those 2X4's. Just remember your insulation! Your new wall looks great! Well, you proved two old adages, Evan. 1. It's better to be lucky than good. and 2. A good carpenter can hide his mistakes. 🤪 The shop is awesome. Now you have options. If it's nasty outdoors, you can work indoors. If it's nice outside, the indoor stuff can wait. I really like that shop. Looks like my garage project will have to be rethought. The price I was given as an estimate is ridiculous. I could buy a couple of rental houses for the same money. Oh well, such is the world we live in.

Hey Evan, sssshhhhhhh! If you don't tell people about your opportunities to learn for next time odds are hardly anyone will notice. I think your shop is original and quite nice in appearance. Don't beat yourself up. Be proud of your ideas and effort. It really is a nice looking shop. Can you hang a large tarp across the garage door entrance to hold heat in? It might be better than nothing. Keep an eye out for floor foot/leg stress mats on craigslist and FB. You did very well with this project.

Very nice job but... Lots of positive comments about the stained T1-11 wall but not so much on the metal sheets and that's because the metal sheets just don't make it. Rustic? - maybe, but in my opinion, they add nothing to the aesthetic appeal. Dull gray, some rust and discolored. I think a coat of flat, eggshell or satin galvanized gray enamel paint would make a considerable improvement in the metal sheeting appearance.

Another excellent video! I make mistakes like this all of the time. Guys who do such work for a living would probably be rolling on the floor laughing, but when you don't do such work everyday it is easy to forget some of those details. But in the end, like you said, you work past it and get it done! I think the wall looks great. It will be a nice creative space for you. I'm hoping to do some more work in my shop this spring as well.

Tarps as temporary covers for the people and garage doors in the shop are good ideas. You might consider using heavy weight plastic sheeting for the garage door. We used that during the winter our house was being built which allowed us to work and stain siding in the garage during the winter. The advantage of the plastic vs the tarp is the light that it gives you. The wall looks really good.
