Awesome. For a few seconds, I forgot these were the tiny versions, that's how great they look with the painting and finish. I wish they would reissue all of the classic Star Wars figures to be this tiny scale, like the M.A.S.K. figures.

Well I started painting models for Warhammer and D&D, although the methods they taught in the late 80s are pretty different from what they do today

Awesome work! Regarding the DO Throne files... couple of thoughts, One - a quick plane cut in meshmixer would make the bottom flat and possibly eliminate what I suspect are holes in the mesh from the scanner not catching all of those details well... I've noticed similar issues in other filesets as well (the Slave One scans he released a while back)... just a thought to clean that throne up for the upscaled version... :)

I did actually try cutting the bottom off in Meshmixer but there were some recessed details that went too deep so it didn’t really work. In any case I’m going to be using a different non-printed throne for the larger version

@@mr.revrac5602 - When you're talking about shaving a half a mm or a mm off of the bottom of something it wouldn't be noticeable... Like MightyJabba pointed out though, it doesn't work out so well if it's something deep you're trying to deal with...

I used the Creality CR-10S4 but it’s a bit old at this point. Most printers can probably handle this as long as they are big enough

@@MightyJabbasCollection just to make it so if you wanted to move the diorama you can you can take it apart and pack it away, it’s a common thing for diorama makers to do and plus when you do the larger one if space is a concern it would be easy to pile it up and put it in a box

@@MightyJabbasCollection exactly my concern would be the strength of the magnets since most diorama makers use foam but if you got strong enough ones it would likely be fine, I figured to put the holes in you could use a software like tinker cad. It would also make it so you don’t have to worry about messing up on lining up the parts. Anyways though I plan on making one of these and it was something I’m considering since I’m worried moving it would be an issue

It's cool but I think that the construction is a bit too much complicated, I would prefer to have it in larger pieces, which would mean less retouching and overall cleaner look

As I mentioned, the reason they are in so many pieces is because they're meant to be printed larger than what I did. I've started printing the 3 3/4" version and you can probably only fit a couple of those pieces on a moderately sized printer.
