I love all Disney. I’m just an oddball. I loved the villains and supporting characters more than the main ones. My absolute favorite was MarryWeather from sleeping beauty. The blue one.

I loved Robin Hood as a kid and still today. I also loved the sword in the stone. My favorite character being Mad Madam Mim.

Experiencing SO much linen envy right now. That fabric is so nice. Anyway Robin Hood was also my hero as a kid, along with Belle. (And am I the only one who felt the irrepressible urge to whistle a little tune during that opening sequence? 🤔)

You are right about the gender fluidity of the character, he was based on the Errol Flynn version of Robyn Hood from old Hollywood and he was known for being probably bi-sexual.

Robin Hood was my favourite Disney movie. But if I were to cosplay a Disney character, it would have to be Ursula!

For some reason, I have images of a red fox and a bear running through the forest.... ooh delaley ooh delaley golly what a day. Thank You for another lovely video. Robin Hood is one of my favorites, but my favorite characters from all the robin hood movies are Alan-a-Dale and Lady Cluck from Disneys 1973 film. Lady Cluck stood up for what was right, and Alan a Dale was one heck of a good bard... Lady Cluck also whacked someone on the head with the golden arrow. Another favorite was Baloo, look for the bear necessities the simple bear necessities forget about your worries... I think I'm going to grab a cocoa and some marshmallows and do a jungle book and robin hood video binge.

It comes in two parts?!? You're spoiling us. I loved the whole Robin Hood story as a child. I remember my dad taking me and an assortment of cousins into the city on the train one evening to a little cinema that did cheap re-runs, and we watched Robin Hood. I did like the Robin Hood character, but Maid Marian was my favourite. I'm a bit sad no-one's done her on Costube yet. Opus Elenae, maybe? That green is the perfect shade for a Northern European spring, and I love the outdoor footage. 10:38 - mad swish! My daughter made herself a gores & rectangles linen shift which she wears nearly every day, and she always does that twirl. She, and you, look so happy 😍

It's a bit basic, but Cinderella was my favorite Disney princess growing up. She and the mice inspired my love of sewing and fashion. As a child, I saw the mice sewing in the movie and I said to myself "I can do that" ; the rest is history. I loved that you included the audio of your sewing, it gives an ASMR vibe to this video.

"getting the most out of this fabric" oh, do I ever hear you on that one!!! I've been using up stuff from my stash (becuase I'm not allowed to buy new fabric until I complete at least three more things from stash fabric). Fortunately I have been doing mostly rectangles-and-gores dresses and shirts, which are inherently quite fabric-efficient, but since my linen pieces are maybe 2m maximum, I still end up drawing everything over a few times on grid paper before I cut just to see what fits best how and where I can gain or lose a few cm as needed!! 2m makes a comfortable long sleeved dress for me with very little waste. And I generally use a lot of piecing for pockets... I'm pretty sure I have one pocket that's at least six pieces of fabric. And those long backstitched seams and felling, they really ARE satisfying :) And for me it was Fizzgig from The Dark Crystal.

The clip of your spinning in the under tunic is pure joy honestly and I love it! I’m dipping my toes in to sewing but I’m taking it slow. I can’t say I have a specific character or movie that is a favorite for my. I’ve grown up watching the Disney classics like Robin Hood, I don’t remember watching the Princess movies much to those wouldn’t be it..it would probably be more like Mary Poppins or My fair lady for when I was a kid . As an adult it’s even harder because they have come out with so many more movies it’s so hard to pick one!

Ok, I'd just watched a news item about Shrek being 20 years old, so seeing a green outfit, my head didn't say Robin Hood first, but then I read the title. I don't have a favourite Disney character, from childhood, we did love watching Dr Who, and my fav is the robot dog K9.

I love stitch too. I wasn't ever really into Robin hood in any iteration. I couldn't ever pick a favorite disney character but some I love are Jiminy Cricket, Winnie the Pooh, and Archimedes from The Sword in the Stone. As a child though, my favorite movies were mostly done by Don Bluth, except The Last Unicorn. Your work is beautiful. Hope to see more soon.

Swoooosh! LOVE. IT. The colours are perfect. I did some mending with drawn threads earlier this week, and have done before that but never heard of anybody else who did. I find that linen is the only material that works though. Do you think that silk might work with more than one thread twisted together?
@Dolthalion3 жыл бұрын
Possibly! I think the reason it works so well with linen is that it's so easy to draw threads in the first place. I was having to twist two threads to make the linen work for this, so it'd be worth trying with silk at the very least! The question becomes where it becomes too much work to be worth while.

@@Dolthalion I thought you were still talking but the sound cut off....if you weren't recording, how about either a public domain bit of music or some pop up comment on screen that lets us know that you aren't recording any comments until a bit further along your project. I don’t have any favourite Disney characters, Walt Disney was an evil man and crapped on everyone around him, including his much more talented brother. Oh, and he sucked up to the Nazi party too. (I still watched all your video though!)
