This isn't sponsored by Ikea btw. I just like their curtains so I made a dress... as one does. Enjoy the victorian stuff.

I've discovered a sub-category of KZbin I love and it is basically this video. People making clothes, out of things not meant to be clothes - curtains, table cloths, bed sheets/covers. I made a slinky black bat wing dress (in the 80’s) out of a pair of curtains, the front of the curtains was this awful brown colour but the wrong side of the fabric was a high gloss black. It was thick fabric too, so I was warm and toasty in a U.K. winter whilst other girls were freezing their butts off.

@@iamvictoriarae please do make the scuba suit. It would be hilarious. Or at least make an old fashioned bathing costume out of beach towels. You could do a whole themed series: making garments with items that aren't traditionally used to make clothing, but fall within the same theme. Like a 50s house wife dress out of table cloths and dish towels. And definitely do a xena look. You will look fabulous!
