First thing I thought when you got to the part of "making it a horror game" is kind of like the narrative that you're in this creature's realm, and every level, you get deeper into its domain. So the first level looks very normal with it just being night, but by the time you get to level 5, the lighting is all red, the wall textures are decayed/industrial/eldritch, and in the distance you can see horrible hallucinations.

Hello! I don't comment on KZbin videos often, but I do have to share; about a month after your Wicker Devil video, I saw it and was inspired to try a similar challenge for myself. I made a horror game with a random amount of time (3 days) with two randomly generated mechanics (sanity and body temperature) and it was probably the most fun and successful experience in my short game dev career at the time. Here is the thing: Most horror games end with a parkour/monster chase, take the first 2 chapters of Poppy Playtime, even ban ban kinda fits (the white thingy and the green dude chasing you) if you consider it, but your's is original because it is the FIRST fully parkour-based horror game. (technically because dying light still has this 'killing monsters' vibe and yours is just a run-away game). So technically this IS an original game genre.

This means that the player can't identify who's chasing him/her. I took a class on game development at my university for this upcoming semester. We’ll be using Unreal Engine for it, and even though the class is taught by I professor I like because he’s easy to listen to and is super chill, I’m still vastly overthinking how hard the class will be. So actually watching someone make stuff on Unreal is making me feel less overwhelmed from my overthinking. lol.
