So wonderful to have an oncology nurse, aka an angel, as a follower actively encouraging her to address new symptoms with her doctor! I had a lot of the same issues she is having, result of lots of chemo and radiation plus surgeries to address stage 4 stomach cancer. Indeed much of it points to low platelets that requires attention and can be addressed. I hope that she will be ok soon!

Veterinary student here. Please go see your doctors. Epistaxis (nose bleeds) and petechiae (tiny bruises like the ones on your chest) are a major concern for low platelets especially in immunocompromised patients such as yourself. I really hope you are okay but if you were an animal patient I’d be extremely concerned.

I‘m a doctor. The nurse is right. This could be a sign of thrombocytopenia. This is a common side effect of chemotherapy and can leed to all kind of internal and external bleeding which is very serious! Please contact your doctors NOW and get your blood count checked NOW! All the best for you!

I cried when you said that not everyone turns 24, how true. My youngest brother passed at 17 from osteosarcoma, but that’s life, just continue to be positive, that’s the best medicine that only you can control. We love you and I’m praying for you beautiful young lady.

My oldest brother (half-brother) died at 18 from a brain tumor. Getting older than him was very sad and weird when being born almost 11 years after him. And now the youngest of us is on a good way with turning 18 next year. You should definitely not take anything for granted but it just comes naturally as you get into routines and there are not many obstacles in your way. I hope that with the pandemic there are more people that appreciate life. In my case it often turns into crying when I realize that I shouldn't take something (especially life) for granted

My son has osteosarcoma. Its a BEAST :( I'm sorry for your loss. My son is nonverbal autistic, and had to go thru an above the knee amputation years ago. It was awful. The tumors in his lungs are stable for now, so we consider ourselves very lucky.

I found your channel after my 3 year old very rapidly fell ill and died from an unknown lung disease. We are rooting for you, praying for you. This sucks so much. We know words dont take away how scary and horrible this is.. We appreciate you sharing. I total agree that you cannot take for granted and how special birthdays are..My husband made her a zoom birthday( last may , months before she passed) and I told him he was overdoing it..He sent out crafts via zoom and a snack to the kids who attended online snd created all these activities for her last birthday before she abruptly got sick . I am now so happy he did that and to look back in the photos.I never thought our healthy 3 year old would be gone 7 months later.. Birthday's are so special

10:09 - 10:12... priceless. I'm so glad things are going well with you and you had a nice birthday! I see others have commented on the petechiae ... Chemotherapy can cause thrombocytopenia (low platelets) or even pancytopenia (all Red Blood Cells are diminished), which is what it sounds like the reason for that. Hopefully it is transient and does not progress further. Be cautious to not injure yourself, this can lead to significant internal bleeding or hemorrhaging. I know you have a great medical team, but I thought I would just put this on here. So glad to see you are doing well! Take care!

I got out of class one day, was laughing and talking with others, walked to my car got in shut the door and from nowhere just busted out crying. U cried like a little girl all the way home. Romee, never feel bad or feel you need to explain yourself. You have every right to enjoy the life you have to the fullest. Cancer hits each one differently. My son is bedridden, but every opportunity he has when feeling a bit stronger, he plays his PC games and chats to friends via Discord. It may not be much of a life, but it helps him cope. So go out, enjoy, play, party, you deserve it.
