I made myself a LEGO inspired Knight helmet!

The iconic LEGO Knight Helmet upscaled 2020% and 3D printed to human scale! I bought a very large 3d printer and spent way to much time working on this project, but I love the final product so much! I hope you like it too!

I just remember seeing it on a compilation of custom built houses with a hefty price tag that were either fails, had bad memories attached to em for the owners or were sold for a loss. The channel I saw it on was Be Amazed. Quite some time ago. It was cool indeed, but he didn't get enough support for it as per the narrative if my memory isn't jumbled.

Wow... You have no idea what this does for me! For over 30 years I have been a huge fan of Lego Castle. It's probably one of the reasons I like knights so much in the first place. One year for Halloween as a kid we tried to make a helmet similar to that one... I would have lost my mind if you showed me something like this as a kid! Please print more of these and sell them!

Thanks! Unfortunately PLA cant be smoothed with acetone vapor like ABS can, so that is not an option 😔 I am going to leave it as is, sanding, priming and painting is way too much work right now

With pla, going over it with a heat gun might be the best option for smoothing. The helmet looks pretty dope the way it is, though.

I suspect a heatgun will warp the print before it makes it any smoother. Fillig, sandinig and painting is the way to go I believe
