There was a store here in my town very similar to yours, they had the amazon merchandise, returns mostly. They were putting out good stuff and then suddenly they started putting out garbage, tons and tons and tons of masks and face shields and then just junk that nobody wanted. They never even tried to get better merchandise and then they finally had to shut down because they were losing customers so bad. So it's nice to see that you fixed your garbage merchandise problem and seem to be on a better track now.

Your story reminds me of our own experience. We owned a video rental store when they were popular. New competition and supply issues plagued us after a few months. We needed other streams of income to keep from falling further into the abyss. Each new competitor, flush with capital, would undercut us until they closed their doors and another new one would take their place. Our final straw was when the landlord adjusted the lease we had inherited. Terms were triple net plus increases based on sales. Hopefully, your lease is more tenant friendly than ours was. Today, we love ebay.

sad to hear - but I think bin stores are a short term thing. you have to get in and out because the novelty wears off. and the overhead tends to eventually hurt. Glad to see you back. Will be watching and helping your views.

So glad to see you back! I’ve been selling on eBay since 2013 and been watching you since I think 2016 or so. I’ve been struggling with keeping my little store active enough with 2 little ones/homeschool/balancing daily life. The stress is hard to deal with at times and I can’t imagine on such a large scale. You have such a great attitude and I admire that you always keep going and trying new things. I’m trying to do the same, building back up my store and also trying to get into creating digital art to sell online to hopefully replace eBay some day as my “job”. I don’t even know what whatnot is so I’ll be interested to see your content about getting started with it!

I would have stopped payment and threatened a lawsuit period. No damn way they would have gotten paid. I would have gone to BBB and news stations. I would have gone as far as having dumped it on their lawn even if it was across country. They would have had to take me to JAIL.

@@carltonthepug It's been illegal to sell recalled goods in the US since 2008. Less of a Karen or Ken and more of a responsible business owner. They should at least be reported to the CPSC so they don't scam anyone else with liquidation pallets full of merchandise that's illegal to sell.
