Sturdy Shedinja! Ah this is such a classic, I was not expecting to see it again - it might be almost a decade since I saw it last. I even vaguely remember a version from back before Entrainment existed, using Exeggutor to grab Sturdy, use Worry Seed on Shedinja, then Skill Swap. It was awful, but a laugh. Shedinja has always been one of my favourites in general. even though it was such an exploitable gimmick. EDIT: It has been pointed out to me two years on that the above could not have worked pre-Gen V. I have no memory of writing this comment at this point, so I have no idea if I actually thought it was something that existed, was misattributing a different Gen V set I had seen, or was just speaking nonsense (though I suppose I was doing that no matter the actual cause).

You can't skill swap wonderguard. Meowstic doesn't have entrainment, only skill swap. Durant also doesn't have sturdy by default.

Watching this perfectly explains why i hate using moves with less than 100% accuracy. They hit 5 75% accurate sleep powders in a row but you miss 3 90% accurate thunder waves. I’d love to see you do this again in BDSP, since you can do this with Chimecho alone (it learns Skill Swap and Entrainment). My favorite setup was always Chimecho/Magnezone lead with Skill Swap and Volt Switch, into Shedinja with goggles. Shedinja ran endure since it protected from damage but not entrainment, but idk if that’s possible in newer games.

I thought you knew about the Thunder Wave bug. The devs coded it with Thunders 70% accuracy by mistake. Then they multiplicitavely applied the 90% accuracy from the actual move again to make it's accuracy 63%. Then they applied the anti-Wolfe code to bring the accuracy down to 1% when Thunder Wave is used with a gimmick strategy. 🙃

This reminds me of a strategy in Hearthstone. There's this card called "Cruel Dinomancer" that summons a random minion you've discarded on death. What you can do is run two of this card, ONLY discard 1 "Cruel Dinomancer" and then play the other one. You then have an immortal minion with good stats. You can take the meme further by playing "Spiritsinger Umbra" who activates all on death effects when that card enters play and then kill one of your dinomancers. This results in having a board of 6 immortal minions.

4:00 - 4:40 40 second long roller coaster of emotions. 5:37 "Now I have sturdy focus sash meowstic." The moment I realized what he is planning to do. Wolfey... You are a madman. I won't spoil it for those who don't know but this kind of thing has been done in the past and it always leads to madness. There are good strats. There are niche strats. There are meme strats. There are bad strats. Then there is this Frankenstein's creation of a strat. Not even FEAR is as gimmicky and fragile as this. I remember back when this idea was first discovered and hackers would run it alongside Wonder Guard Sableye. This was back in gen 4 I believe and because there was no Fairy Type Sableye had no weaknesses unless you used Foresight plus a Fighting move. I'm pretty sure Sableye and Shedinja are THE reasons why Hacking became such a problem in Pokemon. So having watched it all I had not thought about safety goggles. Its a good thing that this is so damn hard to set up because otherwise this would make the game so freaking miserable to play. Although I had a thought. If you knocked off the goggles then sandstorm and hail would still be able to KO it right? Also setting up something like Stealth Rocks just stops it in its tracks as well as phasing if you still have anything in the back row because it should reset the Wonder Guard. All in all I am just glad this isn't a viable thing. Neat that its still in the game though.

Man, I love Sturdy Shedinja. I briefly used a version of this team in ORAS, but used Mega Lopunny and mimic Sudowoodo. I was inspired by you video to improve upon the concept using Sudowoodo, so I made a team quickly in Showdown, which I exported below. The idea is that turn on turn one, have Durant use entrainment on an opponent and have Sudowoodo mimic it. Then have Durant switch into Shedinja and make Sudowoodo entrain Sturdy onto Shedinja. Lastly, switch Raichu in and Nuzzle Shedinja to make it virtually unkillable. Cinderace and Mimikyu are just filler.
