Don't get me wrong. Some dubs are fine. But honestly, this dub was so bad in comparison to the sub. Put it this way - would you watch a foreign film in a dub? If so, great. But if not, it's the same thing. You're rarely going to get the best performance and you'll sometimes get something really and truly awful like the English David's "San Devistan" pronunciation. I mean...come on. The actual pronunciation is right there.

OH! And something that I'm not sure a lot of people know - Pepsi has way more of a "citrus" note to it. I always thought so from childhood on, but apparently that's a "known thing" (for the weirdos like me who would know that tiny scrap of info). I'm not the kind of person to hate someone for their taste in drink, but I much prefer Pepsi to Coke. Less sweet, more "bright." Just something that popped into my head since the mention of citrus in Coke.

Well, even though David hated carbonated drinks, that is what Lucy and his friends always ordered for him when they were all alive and together. My interpretation of this drink is that I felt it was sort of a tribute to Lucy as David hated carbonated drinks but Lucy loves it, thus why topped with Nicola for Lucy on top of Vodka. Brewer here! Coke's mix of citrus fruits replicates the flavor of actual cola, which is difficult to get in enough bulk for any major soft drink manufacturer as cola only grows in a few places. The caffeine used for coke and most major soft drinks is synthesized, as caffeine is one of the many compounds we can make in a vat and have the end product be identical to anything you get from beans. If you want to know what real cola tastes likes, find RC Cola and have one. They *do* use real cola still; just imagine that flavor with a little less salt and that's proper cola. You probably won't like it though, as you're used to fruit juices.

Having lived in Japan, it's very common to see sakura flavored limited releases of different foods/drinks around March and April, timed with the cherry blossom season, which is massively important within Japanese culture. As you said, it's a very subtle flavor, but it's refreshing and definitely puts you in the spring spirit. Violets, on the other hand, aren't nearly as commercially popular, but do find their place as flavoring elements in homemade stocks, and can be used as a garnish for sashimi.

I suppose it's always been like that, you have free will to a point. For example, you have a choice between a burger which has been squashed and a perfectly fine burger with nothing wrong with it, which do you eat? Overwhelmingly would people not choose the burger that has been sat on, thus your free will is an expectation that you will choose the best example for yourself. Another example is when governments want a particular occupation, say nurses. A government will subsidise that course so people will be more interested in that career path then others because of the lesser financial burden thanks to the government subsidy. People will choose the perceived best option, those above examples are simple though and what's the best or perceived to be the best option are never the same. Effectively think of it as user error or corruption in the code, it's an interesting line of thought but ultimately were not machines, we don't make the best decision all the time, quite the contrary actually. A simple analogy would be using a calculator that can do simple equations, 1+5=6 for example. However higher level calculations such as 8c - 4b + 9c = ? Is the answer 13bc, 1c - 4b or 17c - 4b? The calculator doesn't know, it asks you a question rather then stating the answer, it's by rights faulty equipment that's inconsistent. That, is humanity.

@@Xephisto I thought about this exact thing when I saw someone questioning the dub. There's a lot of intricate cultural things you won't pick up on otherwise. I find cyberneticists, transhumanists, and everyone who diminishes the beautiful wonder of humanity into algorithms and "infinite complexity loops" and all the mumbo-jumbo you expect more from stoned freshmen in college dorm rooms and less from actual professional scientists reprehensible and frankly...for lack of a better term...inhuman. I also find cyberpunk as a genre to be similarly adolescent (again, for lack of a better term) in how it's presented and the themes it explores. Just one man's opinion. But then again, I'm religious (Germanic pagan, not that you asked), and a lot of the same themes cyberpunk covers, religion did first.

A light watermelon/rose flavour for a more refined but equally unhealthy taste.
