Thank you for sharing your story Justin 😭❤️🙌🏽 I am about to finish listening to the first edition on Audible and just ordered the second edition to reread!! I myself have been going through my journey of reconciling my orientation and my beliefs as a Christian. I have been attending an affirming church for 7 years now and although spiritually I’ve felt God’s healing, there was an unsettling intellectual and theological perspective that wasn’t adding up in my mind and heart. Your book has really bridged that gap for me, not just in my personal faith and understanding of it but also in other questions I had about theological holes. Your story should be told everywhere; I was wondering if there were any plans of translating the book?

I gave up my evangelical faith in the late 1980s, in no small part because I'm gay. You are doing something valuable for your religious community. Fantastic. I LOVED Torn but really wished it addressed gender identity as well. Looking forward to reading the new version. I wish it was on audio but I’ll get the paper version for now (that way it’s easier to pass on to others too.) I’m sure it will sell so much they’ll be asking you to do an audio version soon enough!

I want one very much! At present, the publisher hasn't agreed to let me do a new audiobook, but maybe if the print edition (and/or the first edition audiobook) sells well enough, we can convince them. I'm going to try!

There's an audiobook of the first version, but the publisher hasn't decided to do a new version at this point. I'm hoping the new edition sells well enough to change their minds!

Is this translated in other languages? I got the first one on audible a few months ago, I defintely will get this version both on audible and paper and I would LOVE to share this with my catholic mom...but she does'nt speak english AT ALL so if there is a french version out there I would love/get it, if not I'll just translate the parts that resonnate best with me and my journey as a queer christian (protestant, I jump my mom catholic church a few decades back) Bless you ❤

Hi @amalek2750, is it possible you have the old edition? The new edition should have a beige cover and 2024 copyright, and it delves into gender identity-including some discussion of intersex folks-in chapter 16, "The More You Know." I'm not sure if it's available by ebook yet, though; I know the print version is out but I've been hearing that people aren't able to get the ebook yet. I'm checking with the publisher on that.
