I deal with loss daily, as my first love committed suicide 36 years ago. My stepmother said he was in hell for killing himself. Took me decades to come to God, because I was blaming Him. Love you David! Miss you!

Thank you so much for acknowledging that there is sill hope. And you're right Justin, it is important to recognize and acknowledge our losses. There has been so much for so many. Allowing ourselves to mourn over these things, these losses and how our lives will never be the same is so important, so heathy for own sense of well-being. When we do allow ourselves to mourn, that does NOT mean that we've given up.

Someone once mentioned that church never seems sing music that is for encouragement. My church is more about bible study than anything else. When I am hurting this makes me feel alone than I already am. I love Amy Grant is she can sing about a day where everything has gone wrong and use it to create a message of faith. If a church cannot acknowledge sorrow, how much of a comfort can it be. You don't have to pretend all is well when it isn't. That isn't what faith is about.

Great word, Brother!! We can have hope for here and now. And we should because our goal should be to release the Kingdom of God here and now. :) But also, we should be able to comfort those who are mourning and having a tough time here and now. We are told to mourn with those who mourn.
