@@Kalayawa Sure, of course you can! Everything has been given in its rawest form, ready to be edited and processed as you choose, to make things more personal and unique! It is all about experimentation, just like they did back in the day! The pack has a lot to offer, in terms of material that would you expect to hear 30 years ago, at the onset of the Jungle sound.

I've just found that this nastiest stab ("dark solo stab") was taken from the outro of Darkage by DJ Solo (1993). And Jungle Jungle by Total Science used the same amen and stab, probably inspired by Darkage. sick stab indeed

Weird you mentioned DJ Fear. About 20 years ago I randomly ended up with a 2-part mix called "DJ Fear's Jungle" probably from Soulseek and spent years trying to find out more about it. I wonder if it's his? Starts out with a couple of minutes of scratching and just gets more and more breakneck over time. Still gets rinsed to this day.

@@DJBathtub 😂😂 I was very young but remember hearing tracks like "straight out of compton" and the drum beat was so different that it stuck in my head, I also remember hearing the think break and hot pants break in so many random tunes in the early 90s and when I heard hardcore jungle in 93 It was all familiar but I had no clue where they was all getting these beats from, until I got those vinyls with all the breaks on it, think it was called "ultimate breaks" or something like that...the amen break on that record was for hip hop djs so when the actual break drops it was slowed down on the recording so the dj could loop it with 2 vinyl and the crowd could break dance to it...

I downloaded a pack of breakbeats on Carracho(?) and it had the Amen and Think break chopped up into every possible mutation that I loaded into my ASR-10 in 96 or 97, it was right when Korn Life is Peachy came out and I made my first Jungle track with it. There were some minor mistakes, and finally when only one tape recording of it existed, there was a skip from encoding the mp3, regardless, I saved it and uploaded it to a few places as not to lose it forever (as I had with a few of my best tracks at the time). I never really realized how many songs came from these two breaks, I was familiar with Rob Base, but never put it together until recently. I'm still collecting loops and samples and am up to around 4TB. I downloaded a D&B pack a while back, and lo and behold, it had ALL the loops from that Breakbeat collection together in one pack.So now I have the opportunity to recreate the song, except for one thing--I borrowed a buddy's Waldorf Pulse, which turns out to be a very difficult synth to find, and EXPENSIVE when found. Whaddya know, my buddy from High School still has it and lives only 30 miles away. Hell, it probably still has the patch I made for the song! And he told me I could come borrow it whenever, this is so incredible and lucky. Anyway, I tried recreating the sound from the Waldorf before I had reconnected with my guy and it sounded terrible, even when attempting to sample it from my tape. I had considered skipping the Waldorf part, but the song is called "Whistler" and it comes from the sound from the Waldorf, so that really wasnt an option. Here's a link to it if anyone is curious, I downloaded it from SoundClick and uploaded it to SoundCloud because the SClick doesnt always works so well, and I've already lost it on MySpace and MP3.com. The pic for the track shows the date it was uploaded to SC. When I'm finished with the remake, I'll put it on SCloud in a playlist with the original. Cheers! soundcloud.com/user-914244707/rubberchicken_whistler
